problem with L4400 cranks , starts, then stops-won't run

Check the hydro state pedal neutral switch, should be under the floor on the left hand side of tractor. The plastic insert with the wiring plugged to it gets loose in the metal housing resulting in a start and die condition. Put a plastic tie around it to pull sections together and get back to...

Valve covers on B7100 old vs newer

They are to adjust the compression release for the exhaust valves. Your second picture is for a unit without compression release.

    BX24 HST Fan Replacement

To move the engine forward, all you have to do is remove 4 nuts from the rubber iso mounts, lift engine with a cherry picker and move it 1 to 1/2 inches forward. It is much easier than cutting up the new fan, only takes a few minutes to move it. I have had to do it at least a dozen times.

    Kubota L3560 hydraulic problem

Check the rubber suction hose between tube and hydraulic pump. They have a tendency to crack and allow air to be sucked into the pump.

    GR2100 Steering Seal

The steering column does not connect to your front axle, this unit has hydro static steering. Do you mean where the drive shaft connects to the pinion shaft on the front differential?

    Turning wheels around

TripleR is correct, since the front axle oscillates in the center it will not change stability any at all. Kubota does not approve of reversing those front wheels IIRC.

    Dearborn plow doesn't fit

Looks like a classic case of Category l three point tractor & a Category ll plow. That is one of those "You can't get there from here deals".

    BX2360 filter cross reference

I just checked specs and prices of the fuel filters you listed. Kubota 12581-43012 is ??micron and costs $7.26 at Coleman Equipment. The after market that you are going to save so much money using are 2.5 to 4.0 times larger micron. I was going to post the numbers but you made it clear that you...

Kommander Z-100 series Lawn Tractor Help

Kommanders have a tendency to kick the deck belt off of a pulley. Check to see if the belt is around all pulleys. I did find one that broke the PTO clutch.

    B7001 making grinding noise

Check the metal shield over your drive shaft to the front axle. It is either loose, bent or the plastic / rubber bearing are missing. I run into this about every six months.

    Test Dynamo on 1977 L245

There are two wires connecting the dynamo to the regulator. Check for AC voltage on them at regulator and battery voltage on the third terminal of regulator. If you have AC voltage and battery voltage at regulator, it has failed. Regulator failure is very common on these units, hardly ever see a...

brand new 2650 use wrong fluid in oil

The main difference between these two oils is the additive packages. I have seen the two switched many times but never any damage. One operator used hydraulic oil for engine oil in several unit for 3 seasons until it was discovered. He had been told the oils were the same.We changed the engine...

Any Wizards of Smarts...besides Wolfman, of course ;-)

When you are bleeding the air from your injection lines ,loosen them at the top of the line where the air is, not at the injection pump. We have people bring in equipment all the time that tried to bleed their lines at the bottom and broke the delivery valve loose resulting in a leak. I would...

50 Hour Oil Change--What Oil to Use?

Who are "they"..... We have all heard this old wives tale, nobody knows who "THEY" are. Why would you dilute your teflon with oil if it is so great???

    B1550 3-point control valve

Try to tighten the nut at the bottom of your 3pt lever, that is where your friction washers are located. I run into this several times a year and it usually is just the nut has come loose.

    Rebuilding boom cylinders on LA300

The seals in this cylinder are not proprietary seals, they can be picked at any good hydraulic service center. Just take them your cylinders or the seals and they could match them. The two seal kits (70) are all the parts you will need to reseal your cylinders.

    L4310 Parts

Congrats on the new tool / toy!! L4310 is an awsome sized tractor, small enough to get into places but big enough to do the job. They are fairly simple to service also. There is really no aftermarket suppliers for these tractors, you can go to Coleman Equipment's site and order online...

Lower right side of transmission housing is a ground smooth area with the tractor serial number stamped into it. Engine serial is on right hand side on block, ground smooth area with number stamped into it. Right under the fuel system bleeder valve on your injection pump.
