    Kubota L2900 Problem

"old iron tractor jock" googled the term, your post is all that comes up. Hmmmm. Many of us could over haul an old tractor engine in the field with the plow still attached, but what about all the dirt and debris that is blowing around and coating everything? Makes no sense at all to...

    New LA524 Loader w/ L3400 Install

"My guess is that the loader lift pins are not exactly the same distance on the arms left to right, just a manufacturing tolerance issue." You are correct, no two tractors, brackets or loader frames are exactly the same. I see this on more than half of the tractors I service no matter the...

    Kubota L2900 Problem

If it was over heated at least one cylinder bore and piston are scored. Very common problem with any diesel engine. Very few can be repaired without removing the engine and disassembling it as the block has to be either bored out and sleeved back to standard or over sized pistons and rings...

ZD331 sticks engaged mower but no action

Very common problem, Either #120 or #60 is very slightly bent. There is a kit that consists of those two parts is available from Kubota. They have improved the parts by moving the location of the holes and pin on the handle to keep linkage from going over center and catching. The only function...

    bx2230d left rear axle seal

The bearing should not require very much pressure to remove. I usually just gently tap it of with a small ball peen hammer. Just tap lightly one one side, then one on the other. It will slip right off. I always replace bearing and seal. Its a very inexpensive bearing. A bearing splitter and a...

    unidentified Leak on BX2200

The pivot pin goes through the front axle and is sealed with o-rings, one of which is leaking. You most likely have lateral play in your axle, it is controlled with the nut on the front end of this pivot pin. You will need to replace the o-rings and back up rings.

T1400H Hydro will not engage until it heats up!

Check the simple things first. Most common on this model is the hydro state drive belt or tension arm and pulley. When was the last time the filter was cleaned / replaced? I have never heard of one of these hydros failing.

    dangerous bx2230 problem

This is a common problem if you do not keep the slip joint area lubed. As the front axle oscillates the drive shaft needs to get longer and shorter. To allow for this, at the upper u-joint the spline shaft is free to slip in and out of the u-joint. It must be keep lubed or it shears the spiral...

    L3800 PTO Don't Shut Off

Follow the cable from the PTO lever forward to the shaft. There is a spring wound around the shaft next to the housing that is not twisting the shaft back. They get moisture and or dirt between the shaft and casing. Spray a good penetrate on the shaft and housing to keep it from binding. Works...

    PTO Shift Problem

Oiling the cable will not hurt but your problem most likely is where the shaft pivots thru the case. Spray some penetrate on it and shift it in and out. There is a coil spring around the shaft to return it to OFF. Pivot shaft sticks enough that the spring can not twist it to off. Very very...

    Alternator / generator not charging

I have two wrenches bent just for this operation as I have removed these covers 8-10 times when the head is on. It is doable for some, others are not going to be able to remove and replace that lock washer and nut. I have spent 20 minutes or more just breaking the nut loose. Some units have more...
