Hi Everyone,

For awhile now, I cant move forward or backward unless I wait for a few minutes for the mower to heat up. After about 3 minutes or so, the tractor slowly engages after pressing the pedal, eventually moving like normal.

Any indication as to what causes that so I can get it fixed? It's driving me nuts!

Sounds like a clogged filter or screen. Not to familiar with a hydrostatic but it seems if the motor was going out, the issues would be showing up when it's warm not cold. After seeing this post i'm gonna check my mower this weekend :)

What you are describing sounds like a slipping clutch???
But if it's in the hydro unit it has a seal on it's way out, when it gets hot it seals enough to bring the pressure up to a working level.

Check the simple things first. Most common on this model is the hydro state drive belt or tension arm and pulley. When was the last time the filter was cleaned / replaced? I have never heard of one of these hydros failing.
