Has anyone had any experience with in line radiator hose heaters. I have a 2010 l2800 and was told that I can't use a block heater on this model. Any suggestion?
They need to be installed on a 10-15 degree UP angle. In other words install in a straight section of lower hose, but only if the hose angles up into the motor. If it angles up into the radiator, all you do is heat the radiator. This can be alleviated to some extent, if you park the tractor in such a way that the right angle can be met. I have a couple of older tractors, that are not in this category. To pre-heat them, I use a coleman naptha heater, and put it directly under the motor, and let the radiant heat heat up the block. You don't want to do this for more than an hour or 2, and also don't go away and forget it's on...
