    L1801 blowing oil

Hi Meanjean. My background is automotive, and have used many sealants and found loctite coppercoat a good sealant for head gaskets. For quite some time the dodge four cylinder engines were a problem. Using a sealant helped with this. Chrysler later came out with a head gasket that was treated...

Loader can only lift its own weight

May be a long shot, but im thinking one of your lift cylinders is damaged. The bore could be scored where it runs out of travel. It only takes a scratch to make a hydraulic cylinder perform poorly. I overhauled all the cylinders on the loader, and replaced all the hoses, must have been...

    Alternator ?

Just a thought, bearings can be replaced in most alternators. But it does require a little patience. As mentioned above, remove belt and spin all belt driven parts. Dont run it too long without belt.

    AW 46 HYD Fluid

If udt isnt easy for you to get your hands on then you want tgh, trans gear hydraulic fluid. Another reference might be universal tractor fluid. Hydraulic oil is just that, hydraulic. Transmissions need gear lubricant, anti wear additives and the list goes on. Hope this helps. If you take...

    Kubota B6100 - radiator issue

If it has a thermostat, pull it out for flushing. I had a head gasket go, and used simple green to flush the block. It cleaned it quite well. Could use heavy duty rad flush, but i prefer not to put anything corrosive into my cooling systems. A couple good water rinses and refill with a good...

Has anyone tried welding chain hooks onto a piranha tooth bar?

On top of bucket there are things to consider. At either side of bucket, lifting heavy objects can upset tractor. Putting one hook in center of bucket can bend the bucket, so a full length piece to strengthen the bucket would be better. Ask me how i know this? Been there done dat. Bucket is...

    B2620 dead battery

That is why i buy batteries that are not the highest cca rating for group size. Example 24c 1000. It may pack a whallop when new, but fails sooner than a 650 or 800 cca battery. No room for buildup on the plates. Batteries that fail like yours are common. Replace with reccomended cca's or...

    Check Chains

So thats what the holes in my mower are for. I could use something like that. I worked many years with tools on hand, wasnt easy sometimes. Lathe, drill press, big compessor mig arc and plasma. Now projects actually look like i planned them. Sure makes things easier. But it comes with a...

    changing blades

Problem is with that a hydraulic failure can be fatal. That being said, i do use my forklift for servicing my mower. I try my best never to stand directly under deck/ forks. Impact to get blades off and on. I also have a four post drive on hoist, but its too wide for the tractor. Have a...

    B2620 front tire chains?

Chains arent going to stop you from sliding sideways. Just ask a grader operator. 20 tons still slide if the conditions are right. Not worth the investment if you ask me. I run a heavy plow on my truck, if its not pushing the front over, the back end is kicking around.loaded it with firewood and...

PTO shaft turns when PTO is off

I should have realized it was a newer machine. I do actually feel a little more educated now. Thanks. I would have to agree,if that pto is dragging on the brake for whatever reason, the longer it runs like that the more damage is being done.
