Do you have any idea what the oil pressure was when the "light came on" --- do you know that it was really "low". I think that the light is designed to come on at 7 psi -- do you know that you actually were at 7 psi or lower?

You may want to also check the oil pump itself as well as the oil pressure relief valve spring -- that relief valve may not be holding to a high enough pressure and the oil pump may be so worn that it's not pumping sufficient pressure. I'm also a little leary of plastigauge. If you simply mic...

By design, the cylinders can be bored twice without re-sleeving. You'll have the block out no matter which way you go. First step would be to check each bore and see where they are against the spec and see if they're out of round or not. P.S. I think it's twice ----- verify that.

It's not that bad to do yourself. Support the tractor from the front end and then drop the front axle --- one pivot pin. Slide the front axle out and then drop the oil pan. Fairly straight forward job. P.S. Remove the front wheels first of course --------

It doesn't appear as if #2 is sealing as well as well as #1 and #3 are. I don't suppose you checked bore inside diameters when you replaced that piston?? Not necessarily --- my experience would tell me that it'll start just fine down to around 200 psi --- less than 1/2 of what it shoud be. Back to the turn it over by hand test. If you grab a hold of the fan belt and try to turn it over by hand, can you? Can you feel any compression when you do...

Sounds like a pretty steep price to me ---- maybe $7K.

Can you grab the fan belt and turn the engine easily?? If you can, rings are likely shot leading to low compression and, therefore, no power.

I may be way off base here but, can't you just tip the seat forward when you get off to by pass that switch?

Of course you know that you have two hydraulic pumps. Which pump have you removed??
