    L3130 hst problems

How many hours on the machine? Had since new? Any symptoms in the weeks or months before it stopped moving? In normal use do you use the foot clutch pedal often or rarely (using the HST instead)? If the screaming noise starts and stops with the clutch pedal is it the same in L, M,and H...

    Kubota L245 broken crank

Wonder what caused the break. Had the engine been worked on recently? Are (were) the flywheel bolts loose?

    Kubota L245 broken crank

Can you post a picture of the break? Sure seems there would be other damage.

L3450DT 4WD Low Gear PTO broken

Can you say a little more about how it acts? - any noises? Did something happen while using it? I broke couple teeth on my low speed pto gear - it still worked but made a clicking sound as the bad teeth went around. The tractor had to be split at the transmission mid case to replace pto...

    Hyd problem

It's tricky using the FEL valve to operate other things. The curl's dump circuit isn't "normal". It powers both cylinder hoses, giving better control of dump motion. I use the FEL valve for my front snowblower. The curl circuit turns the chute. It only works plumbed one way, and then only...

L3010 hydraulic leak from right front wheel

There's some reading here including a step-by step. There are 4 different places the leak could be coming from. Best place to start is to take off the wheel, clean it all down and see where the leaking oil re-appears. Then buy the part. That said, Billdog350's post above is right - most...

    Kubota bright orange paint.

Yes, lobster red matches the newer Kubota bright orange. Attached picture is my L345 (old orange) with a newer LA450 loader (new orange) showing the difference.

    Kubota bright orange paint.

I ordered a six-pack of Rustoleum Lobster Red from Home Depot. Its a dead-on match and much easier. The attached are pics of my L3250 which has a gallon of Kubota's hundred-dollar enamel - with several areas touched up or done entirely with Rustoleum Lobster Red rattle cans. Can't tell...

    L345 Piston Removal

M-7 connecting rod bolts are usually listed at 19-22 ft-lb. M-8 are about 15% higher. From your prior posts its not clear how and where the oil, fuel and cooling systems were mixing with each other. With the head gasket installed it would be good to apply low-pressure air and inspect for...

L48 with auxiliary hydraulics. Simple question about install. Bought from farmer shed

Hi Steve, Regarding which line goes where, my L48 doesn't use that kit, but basically, the new valve can be added to the L48's main circuit, either upstream or downstream of the FEL valve. To install it downstream, connect the FEL valve's PB hose to the aux valve's IN port and connect the aux...

    L4310HST air condtioned transmission

Very sorry to see this - unfortunately I've seen it before. Something about how your hitch was connected and restrained/operated put a huge force into the top link area. Here's a related thread on TractorByNet. It was a local tractor so I saw it up close. The whole rear housing had to be...

    L345 Piston Removal

Hydraulic lock?? Did you find the caused of it? That answer may explain why one is worse. For example a small coolant leak into one cylinder might go undetected for a while - gradually doing serious damage. At rest the rings rust and get stuck, also corroding the walls. Any idea how long...

    L345 Piston Removal

Glad you got it apart. What were the symptoms before? Hard starting? Smoking blue? Was the engine stuck?

L3750 Hydraulic Filter. Need expert help!

Wolfman is spot on. Here's the Kubota parts page. Filter is 36330-82630. example source Notice the threaded adapter in the center - that's supposed to stay on the tractor. It's 36330-82670.

Brush loosened an oil plug my L2950

Knightgang, (edit - wrong model cited, my bad) info that's still good: ......got a PM from North Idaho Wolfman that he sent you a link to his WSM for the L2950. Sean's a good resource - good luck with your "discovery" phase,,,,, Take care, Dick B

    L345 Piston Removal

No need to take out the crank. (impossible anyway - see below) With the oil pan off the connecting rod caps are directly accessible. With the caps off the pistons push up and out. The rings are fragile - it's easy to break 'em even if careful. Use pins, solvent, a proper ring spreader -...

    L345 Piston Removal

In view of the switch to bolts it would probably be ok to weld the nuts permanently - just leave some room for the wrench. I've had several transmission case studs turn out during normal nut removal - the paint sticks better than the thread locker they use (if any). Hope it goes well - Dick B

    L345 Piston Removal

There are 4 studs pointing forward in the front end of the oil pan. I haven't done it myself but it might be possible to tack the nuts to the studs and turn them out, allowing the pan to come off. Studs don't usually turn out hard. edit: The parts list shows the four studs on the earlier...

Brush loosened an oil plug my L2950

Sounds good. On any of this my info may or may not be right - I have a L3250 tractor and my closest WSM is L2850. Anyway others here are pulling for you too and will chime in when complications arise. Take care, Dick B
