It's tricky using the FEL valve to operate other things. The curl's dump circuit isn't "normal". It powers both cylinder hoses, giving better control of dump motion. I use the FEL valve for my front snowblower. The curl circuit turns the chute. It only works plumbed one way, and then only because the load is small. The difference in cylinder areas above and below the piston is enough so it moves. But it wouldn't work well for a splitter - there's not enough area difference to produce useful splitting force.
