    Diesel Cold Weather Additive

Also filling the tractor with winter blend fuel will reduce the chances of it helping without using additives. If all else fails pack up and move south lol, don’t have to worry about it here :D

    Welder Mechanic/Machinist home brewed tools

Re: Home made tools Harbor freight wrenches are good for something lol. I’ve got a selection of modified tools at work as well. With a torch and a welder you can get a wrench to fit almost anywhere. Have quite a few that have been heated and bent to fit and a couple that have been cut in half...

Where do you buy your batteries??

100 month warranty, yes. First 36 months is free replacement, and free towing. After 36 months it’s pro rated, but still better then most other battery warranties.

Repair ? or do a total rebuild ?

I’m sure wolfman and other tractor experts be around to chime in,but having one cylinder with that much more wear then the other isn’t good, yes the head could have cause the wear on one cylinder if it was cracked and washing it out but just putting a head on it isn’t going to fix it. Rebuild...

Repair ? or do a total rebuild ?

And a cylinder head doesn’t have anything to do with cylinder bore wear

Repair ? or do a total rebuild ?

.030 wear on one cylinder and not the other, and “kubota” mechanic says put a head on it and roll? You must be buying pieces of a tractor if it’s torn apart enough to know one hole worn more then the other.

Seems like the L2501 has been pretty popular lately, may be that dealers aren’t dealing much on them.

The higher price dealer had one at one point, I had seen it when I was getting parts one day. The lower price dealer didn’t sound like they had every sold one, didn’t really know what the hell it was. They are a very rural dealer though, seem to deal with the bigger tractors.

A couple months ago I was ready to sign papers on a bx23s, built online was around $21,000 or so, first dealer I called said $19800, second one which would have been the one I bought from said $18,500 delivered about an hour away. Neither one had the tractor in stock and would have been a...

I had the miller at a previous dealer and only had 120 to it for tig and had good results with it, also had a miller 120 volt mig...

    Multi process welder

I know the torch and pedal are separate, where do you see touch the tung to start gas flow? Maybe I missed that but I know touching the tip to the work piece doesn’t end well.

    BX23 12V plug quesetions

My tractor don’t have an outlet but my zero turn does, have the same problem with nothing staying plugged in. Seems like it’s more of a selling feature then something useful. And no I didn’t buy zero turn just for the outlet lol. I did try to use it once though, just once lol

Where do you buy your batteries??

If your mkc has the auto start/stop crap on it it will have the agm battery in it, if not then it will be a regular lead acid, if it does have the auto start/stop you need to stay with the agm battery or you will have issues.

    Beginner Guide to Wiring

The relay doesn’t regulate the amps, amps will be determined by your available voltage (which will fluctuate with your tractors charging system) and the wattage of the loads you put on that circuit. The relay will let you separate the higher current loads on the light circuit without running the...

Is your 20v battery better than the 18V?

Not to “flip” this but what about adding to the conversation the difference of the tools these batteries are on? Being old brush style electric motors or the newer digital brushless type that make more effecient use of the batteries available power. I use the kobalt 24 volt series for work...

Where do you buy your batteries??

Get all my car, truck and boat batteries at work(motorcraft),get my pricing on them and it’s convenient. For ATV and other batteries that aren’t offered from motorcraft I go to the local interstate store, they sell me them at dealer cost when I go

    Beginner Guide to Wiring

Clover, what kind of light set up are you planning on running? You want the relay setup to separate your load side (the lights) from your switched side. A switch is just a switch, just for controlling the electrical flow, they aren’t made for high current draws. Granted most led set ups don’t...
