    La525 loader came with a 72'' bucket

I'm guessing you get a LOT up your way ;) but you've been sharing with us in recent years down here in PA! I am curious to see how mine does this winter. I have a 7' plow on my TJ and we occasionally get the whopper storm the makes us feel like we are up with you or in the Sierra Nevadas. Ex)...

Fix for a sensitive seat kill switch

This phenomenon got me also shortly after I took delivery. I really truly thought something was very wrong with my NEW tractor and took me a bit longer than I would like to admit to figure it out. I am on a ridge & have many trails and there was one section and at a specific point it would...

    La525 loader came with a 72'' bucket

Mine was matched to the 66" in Apr this year. Dealer discussed upfront and itemized it on the contract (it was an option FWIW). I questioned everything and they were very good. Also, Group here on OTT had great advice on a lot of stuff. So... here's the trade-off: You have a certain amount...

    Grapples?

Like above, can't speak to the other brands and some look really good when I cross-shopped. However, the LP SGC0660 (matched to my L size) is becoming my favorite attachment. It does everything I ask and I am just getting started into firewooding again this winter. I used it this summer to...

    2wd vs 4wd; unfrozen ground

Shoot! I've totally experienced this with just wet grass on turf tires in my 2wd ford with 60"mmm on my hills You learn to avoid those situations and get a bit used to it after it happens a few times. Getting stuck on a slight slope in half-frozen muck is a "joy" I will never repeat on my...

    Cleaning up oak leaves

I see you are in St. Louis - Born there and love the area but haven't been back in a while

    Plugs

Follow on for reference - I ran over an old chicken run (dumb move) and put three nails into one of my fronts (R14) I tried plugging. It works for my DD tires and it was fine on 2/3 but fail overall. Ended up getting a truck repair shop to patch and have been golden since. I was in a time...

Some of the mods I have done

Welcome and thanks for posting. You should fill out your profile when you get a chance I hear you on the ROPS and the door. You have already done it and it's probably fine, but cutting or drilling ROPS compromises its integrity according to the factory & those " in the know" i.e. not me :)...

    Cleaning up oak leaves

This ☝ I have heavy woods and just did my fall "clean-up" last weekend. I modify my patterns a bit in this instance and work them into the edge of the woods in very thick areas. Takes about 2X the time but super easy as I am way past raking & moving them.

Lifting animals with antlers with a loader

That's a nice size. You grow them big up there! Too overpopulated (deer & people) here in my area of PA

    Chainsaw mount SawHaul

Thanks for posting pics - I like it too. While I am not wild about the powerhead out either, that is probably how I will have to go. I think the ROPs location may be best for my purposes. I need something that will keep the BH seat area clear. Yours does that, the "price is right" and I have...

    Chainsaw mount SawHaul

Thanks for posting this! I like the wood aspect of it rather than rigging something up and welding etc. I am just getting back into firewooding and tried in the bucket and on my lap recently. Neither are a good plan; especially with a 24" blade!

    Finally!

It's never as shiny as right after delivery which is when I took my avatar pic this spring. For me, the L2501 is definitely right-sized and I keep discovering new/smarter ways of doing work around my place. I am just getting back into firewooding for the year after digging, grading & generally...

    Mixing Oil Brands

That T6 5W-40 is mightly scarce around here as well when I was looking over the last few weeks Most stores that normally stock it are bare - Walmart, TSC, Napa etc. I found some at HD of all places and bought the 4 they had last week. I try to keep it consistent but will mix if in a bind...

    Delivered and Ready to Work

Thank you! - will take a good look at it as I haven't opened mine up yet. Seems like a cost play on the L2501 and a nice extra layer of assurance if available. Am doing 50H service this weekend

    Delivered and Ready to Work

I had not heard about this before - additional (outer I believe) air filter that is standard on L3301 and 3901 Do you have a part number? It sounds pretty silly to not have it on the L2501 as well...? OP: I went with the right-side handle and use it a lot. I skipped the leveler and have...

I built a storage rack for my hydraulic digger

I would love racks like that. We use them in my industry in the warehouses but the 4' deep ones BTB. Did you find them used and reasonably priced?

    50 hour maintenance?

I'm in the same boat now. Planning on oil change and filter + HST filter. Are there 2 hydraulic filters (1 for general & 1 for HST only or just 1)? Mine is HST

    Fuel Capacity & Usage rate

Thanks for the info all. I definitely don't want to run the new Kubota dry & figure bleeding out in the field. I was in a world of hurt the first time I did it with my Ford (BTW have that down to a science now after 25Y.) Going to avoid but is there anything I should know about this JIC...

    Fuel Capacity & Usage rate

Hi all - Not enough hours yet, but have some questions that you all can hopefully set me straight on. My L2501 is listed as 10G capacity. I think I am going crazy or missing something really basic, but when it's down to the bottom on the gauge, I refuel with just a 5G jug and it goes to above...
