Fatal collision Hwy 11 at Severn Bridge.

Not my tractor, but I was hit in my Jeep in the street at the end of my driveway while plowing after the 2016 MAJOR storm dumped official 36" and actually closer to 48" on my part of the ridge Conditions: It was the morning after - sunny, bright & clear Township trucks already cleared the...

    Sunk in the Muck Today

Agreed in my case and don't expect to with the new tractor, but I am seasoned enough to know to never say never! However, I DO need a winch for my Jeep... I too like to get myself out of my own messes as a matter of principle BTW I have seen some clever use of strapping on...

    Sunk in the Muck Today

FWIW - Anyone actually getting out and doing stuff has encountered this at some point (some just don't admit it ;)). Thanks for sharing. MANY a time have I done this around here with my 2wd tractor and occasionally with my jeep - ugh). The change in the weather here always does it; whether it...

A reasonable alternative to 2 grease guns?

This is where I landed as well. I DO keep up with it and go through it a lot on two tractors - this reminds me that the seal on one of my mower spindles is shot :p and I should fix it NOW!. I have one working larger gun w/ a locknlube and one smaller old one. I had just resigned myself to...

Need a Box Blade in Spring - Rent while waiting for EA?

After I got my tractor, I thought I could make due w/o one. Not a chance in h@II! I was happy to buy used but none available at anything close to a deal in this era around here. I then went with the TSC Countyline which is a Tarter made in KY. Not as good as some but does the job for me at...

    XXL Amish Q-Tip

I get it living close enough to OP. Henro; it's about being frugal and totally a compliment in my book. Love it!

The reality of selling a late model used Kubota in today's market.

I moved from Delaware (no tax) to PA - rude adjustment for sure and really hit hard when I bought the tractor :(

    L2501 LED Replacements

Agreed in general & I am pretty picky about this color temp issue in my home and automobile lighting. However, these are SO MUCH brighter than stock on the tractor in the woods at night that there is no comparison. Many choices out there once you have the base spec's so as I said, pick your...

    L2501 LED Replacements

They make it really difficult to find an interchange part number and I spent a lot of time researching it earlier this year after I got mine. It really frosts me how some people take advantage online and make up stuff for tremendous profit based on Kubota not providing an option or listing. It...

    what oil would you use???

I never thought to look there either before this which is why I posted. I had tried all local auto parts chains, TSC, Napa, Walmart, Amazon, and struck out.

    what oil would you use???

Funny thing- After trying everywhere around here over a couple of weeks, the T6 5w-40 I finally found at HomeDepot was also hidden in the back on the bottom rack out of sight.

    what oil would you use???

Hey now - this is not what you said to me in the last oil thread? and I said I wasn't getting into any more of these... ;) bbxlr8 said: hagrid said: No no no no no...

    oil dipstick

Well, that is a real dipstick (no pun or sarcasm intended :p). The new ones on the L are a rubber plug end and were painted gray like the engine. Definitely seal well per above, but not obvious & hard to find at first not being familiar with this engine

    Shopping a L2501 tractor

That stinks when it's sitting there... Interesting that they went cold right after signing. How did you do on price & dealer choice? Was it take it or leave it or were you able to get some other stuff in the deal? FWIW A couple of weeks is not too bad in the grand scheme of things and you...

    oil dipstick

Mine was painted & very stiff at first. Definitely want to twist it, then after a few checks I was able to peel the paint layer and it is much better. Film of oil at the seal can't hurt...

    Joys of new tractors

FWIW I just found Front axle to be low @ 50h. Can someone point out where to check? Not obvious to me in the OP pic & I haven't noticed anything yet. THX

    Mice

Well, I really hate them!! I have a number of storage areas and the mice & I go back and forth on who has the upper hand. I may have to try some of that stuff, but it is pretty pricey? They have not ever messed with my old tractor. Any chance the wiring coatings on these Kubota's is...

Adding mirrors so I don't have to turn in my seat!

Those golf cart mirrors are SO cheap and nice with lots of options to easily attach. I strongly suggest to future readers of this thread to explore them before buying a kit. There are many other ways to spend your money on these tractors... :p
