Is the equipment shortage ending? Probably not, but look at this JD dealer's lot.

My local Kubota dealers are still pretty bare but the Mahindra dealer has a full lot... :p

    County line auger installation

IMO it's a function of a number of variables: tractor pto power, auger size, ground composition and user method / experience. Try taking smaller "bites" and empty the hole frequently similar to if you were using a hand drill with a deep hole. Maybe adjust the valve so it doesn't drop fast...

    Kubota Orange Paint

The Rustoleum Kubota orange did a nice job on the plastic pumpkins we use to decorate the entrance to our driveway :p Don't laugh - it is what I have and the shelves at HD are empty!

    Light bar

Useful stuff there and thank you for the thread reference. For mine, I am reluctant to use that space on the guard as I seem to be always looking through there in my use. I have the BH mounted most of the time so I really limited my options in back as well - ugh...:cautious: I have no...

    Light bar

I am also coming around to adding extra lighting also now that it is getting dark on me (ugh). I did add the 100 SBS High lows into the stock headlamps (BIG improvement). I try not to work in the dark but there have been a few times when I really needed to finish the task at hand as well...

    BH77 pin issue

There is a known issue with some of them (mostly lower) being painted over from the factory initially, but you indicate the zerk is not the problem. I would try a different position per above or perhaps resting in down to take the weight off if it is one out on the arm. Which position is it...

    Landpride SGC0660

Looks to be very similar and equivalent to the LP 0660. Strange times these days!! FWIW Used mine this weekend. Still love it...

    Mower Decks

Interesting conversation. What are the characteristics of terrain-following vs. suspension? I have 20+ years using a 60" mmm on another make and have had many issues over the last 10 when I moved to PA. I went from a few acres of flat even "golf course" mowing to "some" lawn plus trails etc...

    Kubota Orange Paint

I bought the Kubota brand for potential touch-ups and a few misc details on the tractor itself. Actually, just yesterday I used the Rustoleum Farm Implement line on a few items in Kubota Orange and it sprayed out & dried well. We will see about durability over time Agree that the line that...

Adding mirrors so I don't have to turn in my seat!

Sure thing :) Here is the amazon link - they were hard to find. I tried HF & local welding stores before ordering these as they are pretty pricy for what they are. But they are unusual and fit the job at hand very well Clips...

New Kubota L3901 owner, my take on a grill guard/extra lighting

Thanks for the info and posting - I can weld but am in the "shallow end of the pool" and learning. Earlier this year I went with an Eastwood multifunction 200i specifically to keep my old ford mmm going and fix my old trailer this winter. (Selection was based on budget and hobby level vs...

New Kubota L3901 owner, my take on a grill guard/extra lighting

That looks REALLY good (very clean job)! A couple of comments and questions as I have been looking to do one myself: I especially like how see-through with that expanded grid & in black. Where did you get the material? For your cross pieces - It is a top view but are they a T shaped...

    Land pride SGC0660

Well, the wait stinks but you will really like it. I got mine at the same time as the tractor ONLY because they proactively ordered two on a previous delivery (timing is everything) After my first BIG clearing project, it became a tie with the BH as my favorite. I moved about 30 trailer loads...

    R14T hybrid tires

I also have them on my 2501 and really like them. I have almost all conditions from slopes, rocks, woods, wet marsh and of course regular lawn. I have not hit winter yet so no snow/ice feedback... I have had no issues, knock on wood, except stupidly running over an old chicken run and taking...

Buying a new tractor - what can I haggle?

Very interesting - I specifically asked about this and they said it was even throughout the loan like the payments in general.

Is this fine for an L2501 Oil Change?

Here's my related oil question: Do you have to use Kubota oil when under warranty and new? (I know of course that the all SAE same rated oils test to the same specs etc.) FYI - I have traditionally used the Rotella t4 in tractors and flat tap[pet older engines and have moved to the T6 as extra...

Best method to properly grade fresh fill?

I also started some grading projects right away and quickly realized that while I could "get by" (even with my limited seat time and skills) a box blade was the right tool for the job. While I see the huge advantage of rear hydraulics for those who do this work a lot, in my case / budget will...

    Tooth Bars??

BA took about 7 weeks for me - of course, I prob ordered at peak. I installed it the day it arrived and have been using about a month. Huge difference. I have pretty rocky land so we will see how it goes over time regarding the hardness...

Buying a new tractor - what can I haggle?

So, I looked hard at this when I purchased late winter/spring. Go deep into the website page & READ the fine print in the T&Cs and do the math - also search the archives. Like everything in life it sounds too good to be true, it probably is... There are a fair number of exceptions and...

Puncture advice - Front tire L series

So, I don't expect typical hazards that will cause repeat punctures (this was pretty thickheaded on my part), I ended up having a truck/industrial tire place use a HD patch. It was not a plug/patch like above - those look great. I will have to source some of those for my "kit" and will keep...
