    L48 start problems

The good news is that it's capable of running. You say you got it "running for a few minutes" did you turn it off or did it just die? If it just died it may be your fuel cut off solenoid, check if it has two or three wires, if two disconnect and apply 12 volts to test, if three there's start...

    L48 start problems

When's the last time it ran? Ensure that the tractor is in neutral and the brakes engaged, run a jumper wire from the positive on the battery to the start terminal of the solenoid if it turns over, then the battery, battery cables/connections, solenoid and starter are good. If you have an...

    ZG124E zero turn no start?

I'd suggest having the battery load checked. When you say "solenoid jumped" do you mean battery voltage to the start terminal of the solenoid or from battery to starter motor? Ensure that you deliver a full 12 volts to the solenoid you may have a bad connection along the safeties. Good luck

    Wrench and socket sizes?

With all the overnight ship and tool stores around the corner just purchase certain size and specialty tools as needed/required. No matter how many tools you have there'll always be some tool you'll need (want).

    Break in period

Other than the manual, you'll receive many many opinion's on breaking in a new engine. I believe full speed and full load are two different things. I don't believe you caused any harm.

    D850 head gasket question

I know on a D902 Kubota doesn't recommend a head gasket sealant, however I use Permatex #3 on head gaskets (gas or diesel) and 3in1 oil on the head bolts. Just my .02

    garden hose reel (with wheels)

If you need more than 50 feet of hose, wouldn't it be better to install additional hose bibs and or freeze proof yard hydrants? Or if the water is being used for landscaping then install irrigation as necessary.

    Missouri Driveway Project

If you decide to hire a bulldozer and you can be there with him, an hourly rate is the way to go, pay the dirt and gravel trucks directly (get their contact information for future use). Forget the checkbook cash is king, doing this type of work, pay as soon as services are rendered and keep...

    Suction strainer help!!

As always do as you feel is best. You might as well get it over with, every time you start the engine or just riding you'll regret not doing it right. I'd suggest running the machine for a few hours and taking a representative sample, if as you say "terrible" then the engine and transmission...

Draw bar uses if you have a 3-point or quick hitch mounted receiver?

I agree with 85 Hokie, regarding center of gravity. I believe your Kubota manual states not to pull from anywhere except from the drawbar. Mine is a straight pull, I don't have a need for a swinging type. I added a hammer strap and drilled the holes slightly oversize (1"), so as to be the same...

    MX5100 Pipe Ballast

I got the idea from a You Tube video, he used an acetylene bottle. I had some 8" schedule 40 pipe, box iron and flat bar. I added the chain carrier and both receivers( the high one is for moving the goose neck trailer) After fabrication, I sent it to out be sandblasted and powder coated, then...

    Difficult terrain and encroaching nature

If no one in your area does boom mowing it might present an opportunity. There's probably other land owners that need similar work performed. If you've ever considered a side hustle, look into a used 9K -11K rubber tracked excavator with a thumb, ditch bucket and a 42 inch boom mounted mower...

    Difficult terrain and encroaching nature

Hire a tractor mounted boom mower, once a year to keep mother nature at bay. The first year don't be scared about pushing it back, it might look a little sparse but after that it'll be like trimming a hedge. Keep you money in your pocket. To do your drive way you'd need a tractor that can...

    Missouri Driveway Project

I'd suggest asking around and getting with a local contractor to get an estimate on grading, crowning, sloping and ditches as necessary. He could give you some ideas on how to address wet areas, if culverts need to be placed, etc. Once you have a price you can decide weather to do the job...
