    B7500 busted rear axle housing

I've fixed a lot worse with JB Weld. At this point, it's just an oil leak. :) Drill a very small hole at each end of the crack and it's not likely to spread. Rough up the surface around the crack good, also clean good with acetone.

    B7500 busted rear axle housing

That's aluminum and easy to weld for someone who has the right equipment and knowledge. It also looks like it's not in a very critical structural place. I would have a welder take a look and see about welding it while still on the tractor. I'd even consider grinding out the crack a bit and...

    Reversing Front Wheels

I wouldn't do it. Mowing it'd be no problem and on a 2wd it's no problem. But heavy loader work with 4wd and something is goin to break.

L225DT Right Rear Wheel Won't Turn

$350 to rebuild a cylinder is crazy high. You can get a new one for less. I had the rear axle bearings go out in the left side finale drive (reduction gear housing) on our old L245. It took around a half day to pull it apart, replace bearings and get it back together. It was a straight forward...

L225DT Right Rear Wheel Won't Turn

I usually just go to the local dealer for parts. But I have ordered from Messick's (spl?) with no problems and good prices.

    L3800 vs L3940

I've had a L3800 gear drive for a few months now and absolutely love it! It does have a little trans whine, but no where near as much as a HST. The L3940 being a larger, heavier tractor, I'd guess it has less whine, but I really don't know. It is also a higher price rig though. I really don't...

L225DT Right Rear Wheel Won't Turn

Probably bearings and/or gear in the final drive on that side. I had similar trouble with an old L245 years ago. Was fairly easy to fix.

    L 3200 or l3800?

I love my L3800TD! It has surpassed my expectations and has now moved into the 'Best Tractor I've Ever Owned' category. My 3800 is a gear drive, with live PTO clutch. I don't believe the 3200 has live PTO in the gear drive? 3800 also has slightly more displacement (larger engine). Other than...

Kubota L3010 wont move forward or reverse

How's the fluid level? This is one of the reasons I like gear drive tractors. I know that's no help, but I had to say it. :o

An old friend comes to live with me

Cool story and a Nice old tractor! I'd run UDT in the trans, but stay with 80/90 in the front end. Make sure the front-end pivot point gets grease. And paint the FEL. :D

    Looking at my first Kubota

For only $300-500 diff, I'd go with the closest dealer.

    Noise Data

I went with the L3800DT because of price and also because it's a no frills, simple tractor. Very easy to work on and maintain. What I didn't realize at first was how nice a machine it is. I'm pleasantly surprised every time I use it. I love it! :D

I don't think you need to worry about any of Kubota's transmissions.

    Another Oil Leak

My first thought was rear engine seal, but the would likely show up at the bottom of the bell housing. Only other thing I can think of the the rear of the valve cover and running down to the starter area? Pictures might help.
