    Snowblower Shear Bolts

This is a good suggestion. Earlier this season, a person looking strikingly similar to me and wearing my underwear was dumb enough to forget about the 2 large rocks I use to hold the tarp/tractor cover and caught one in the blower, the size of a softball on cookies........sheared the impeller...

    Snowblower Shear Bolts

I had my first issue with that damn grate this past weekend......wet snow, total clog. was thinking about spraying some "non-stick" stuff in there and then thinking about removing the grate. Was wondering what the deal was with it.....didn't know if it was structural etc. But if others have...

    Stall mat vs. PVC

Interesting idea. I also utilize my RB1560 for snow on my gravel driveway in conjunction with the front mounted blower. I have found that flipping the RB around 180 degrees running it like ) in > direction has worked fine in "float" provided I get the angle East/West right for my driveway...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Got another 2" dusting on top of the couple we had earlier this week.......that is kinda the normal way things go in NH/VT.....get a storm people notice, then get a number of 1-3" dustings that need to be cleared otherwise they just turn to ice. Back bladed things this morning. Still mostly...

Good post, and good take from the perspective of a manual geared preference, solid points and I appreciate the perspective.

    ROPS lights

What doghandler said. Also, this may seem obvious or simple but the Rear light comes labeled with a sticker "rear" so there is no guess work. I did wrap my ROPS with black vinyl tape where I was mounting the bracket for additional "stickiness" and to keep from unnecessarily scratching the...

    ROPS lights

Yes. I have the 3 light set as well on my B2601, love them. BUT....if you are envisioning a nicely hidden wire run internally etc. this is not the kit for you. These come pre wired, switch is sealed up well and ready to go.....all ready for external install with heavy zip ties etc. Work...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally was able to sneak away from the laptop and work for a few hours today while the sun was shining and the ground was frozen. I had flagged some dead trees that were in danger of coming down on my truck, horse trailer and travel trailer not to mention the Kubota as they are all parked on...

    B2401DT

Honestly, I love the HST on my B2601. Clearly there are others that are vocal about not liking HST. I also think some of that is they are used to what they are used to and there is also some "personal preference justification" wrapped in there. I personally couldn't imagine what a PITA doing...

Harbor Freight quick hitch on BX 2350 (UPDATED)

As I mentioned earlier in the thread.....hit the hook with the grinder and open it up, there will be plenty of steel left for strength......

    B2601 regrets?

I got my 2601 in November and with 14hrs on it I have no regrets. Got a lot of work done in those 14hrs and now with the blower and back blade on we have already had great success this winter with the 500' gravel drive and a pretty steep incline back up to the road. Lot of capability in a...

Harbor Freight quick hitch on BX 2350 (UPDATED)

I believe the HF hitch is similar if not the same as the Northern Tool QH that I have. I had to hit the top hook with a grinder for a bit to open the hook up enough to let my LP BB1260 seat right. The top hooks are known to be a little too tight........ not sure if you encountered that but I...

    Hydraulics assistance for 2822 blower

Interesting thought. I have the 2830 (basically same blower in 48") and yeah the hydraulics certainly boogie at blowing RPMs.....although I got used to it for the rotation, but the deflector scoots pretty good...... Reduction valve might be a good idea....

    Question about B series tractors

The pedal took me all of a couple usage hours to become intuitive. Even when clearing snow with large boots it is fine......sure my heel is sometimes off in reverse.....takes a nanosecond to move my foot slightly. I would rather learn the pedal and have my hand free,

    First Snow for the B2601

No problem with taking the thread elsewhere. I have spacers on order as I was prepared to get chains, but so far I am doing fine. I am sure if I get onto pure ice then chains might come in handy......but if I do my job right, we won't have enough ice like that to matter. My understanding...

    First Snow for the B2601

Quick update now that we had a nice 20" dumping yesterday....... Tractor, blower and back blade were outstanding. Handled the 2' + drifts with no issues and it was enjoyable to clear. Of course it was not without incident, literally the last pile I pulled away from the house had a 6" rock...

    buying decison B vs. LX

Sorry R3 my fault.......this is what happens when I spend 15hrs per day on vaccine coordination and post with a tired mind to take a break from COVID hell.......

    Lol, it's all relative.......I'm 45.....

    buying decison B vs. LX

It really is interesting the varied experiences and highlights the real need to really get an "arse in seat" or at least hands on the models you are looking at. Interweb research hits a point of diminishing returns. Poster above feels the B2601 has a tight operator station for anyone over 5...

    buying decison B vs. LX

I would second the R3/Turfs for snow........I have been impressed with their performance (without chains so far) with my steep 500' driveway in the snow.
