    buying decison B vs. LX

As a new B2601 owner, I can understand the back and forth the OP is going through now. I think there is some good advice in this thread already. It comes down to your intended uses and then leaving enough room for things you haven't thought of and buying the most flexible platform that makes...

Said No To An Excavator Purchase...:-(

I would have walked as well. For all those reasons, icing on the cake would have been the manuals and parts etc.

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

I got an initial quote, which was basically 100% MSRP then learned on forums of the Equine discount......and since we own a horse he finally paid us back a little bit as my wife is a member of a few organizations that qualified. I mentioned it to the sales guy in my email exchanges as "hey I...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

When I got my 2601 a couple months ago, the whole thing was done via email due to COVID. It was great. Took some back and forth but the Equine discount kinda took the BS away. Just a straight 20% off MSRP......then it was down to which implements etc. I didn't have to deal with getting the...

    First Snow for the B2601

Ah....the old analog vs. Digital dash thing....makes sense. With a blower or any PTO implement listening to the machine will tell us much of what we need to know. Just like my walk behind blowers.....if you hear it bogging down and you see it starting to just pour snow vs. throwing the...

LA535 Switch Tach did not work as planned...

Glad everything worked out. A few weeks ago I took my FEL off for the first time to mount the blower. One of my stand legs is finicky and will not lock in some times......I took it slow with the help of a friend and after several tries and a couple bangs with a mallet the right stand locked in...

    First Snow for the B2601

The 540 rpm "mark" on the tachometer.....which is up around 2800rpm engine speed.

    First Snow for the B2601

The choice for me was really between the 50" "Residential" blower and the 48" "Commercial" blower as I didn't want to pay for the 55" and in practice there isn't much difference between 48" and the extra 2" or 7".....either way I have to go up and down the driveway twice......a wider one doesn't...

    First Snow for the B2601

Thanks, I'm on the same page my thinking was similar, I figured "fuel's cheap....burn it" especially since I was blowing up hill so why strain things unnecessarily . Appreciate the reply.

    First Snow for the B2601

I would be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for a dumping of snow......and we got a decent first test in NH yesterday with the Nor'Easter that dropped 8" of heavy wet stuff after 24hrs of rain ahead of it. The 48" blower worked flawlessly and with the RB1560 back blade combo I had everything I...

    LX2610HSDC at almost 200 hours.

Really solid post for first time tractor owners and even first time NEW tractor owners. I only have 10hrs on my rig but I agree and appreciate many of the points you made, and they are applicable to whatever tractor model people are running. Luckily my dealer prep was really solid and every...

kubota l4474 snow blower chute operation problem

You guys might be saving my Thanksgiving morning of frustration.......as I mentioned in another thread I am dealing with the same thing on my B2601 with the 2830 blower.......I will try the far right detent/dump position.....before I follow the manual procedure with removing the motor gear etc.

    Snowblower Help !!! BX2830 48" Commercial Blower

Narrowed it down to the hydraulic line on the blower for the "blue" line......the hydro on the tractor works fine as the FEL was perfectly fine. I figured out the switch as I missed an electrical connector during install. I'll call the dealer as they need to come out and install wheel...

    Snowblower Help !!! BX2830 48" Commercial Blower

OK..........so today was FEL to Blower changeover day. Got the FEL off (right side "kick stand" doesn't want to lock easily so we'll deal with that) so FEL off. Mounted the subframe and blower no problem, nice system.....10mins..... Connected all hydro 4 lines. Chute will only rotate to the...

    Day One List

Now that I have ~10hrs on mine I feel close enough to the place you are now. Triple recommend the need to know exactly where the FEL bucket is and where the edges are at all angles etc. If you saw one of my posts in past couple weeks I took out a tire on our horse trailer just "driving by"...

Do you like your LAND PRIDE 48" Box blade?

Yeah, truth be told I ordered a RB1560 with my 2601 and the dealer prepped a BB1260 instead by accident, they were going to swap them out and I just told them to cut a decent deal on the BB and put the rear blade on the delivery truck too as I would have bought a BB in the spring anyways...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Well done. I need to get a few extra clips as I mentioned in the other thread. You will like the box. After watching a few videos on people using box blades and understanding how the top link length impacts the whole shebang is key. I haven't had to use the scarifiers yet and have them set...

Do you like your LAND PRIDE 48" Box blade?

I was thinking the same approach. I believe the same relationship with shear bolts. I like the build quality of the Land Pride BB but I would have preferred a design like others with through-pins with clips vs. the "spacer" clips. I already dropped one into the frame once and had to extract...
