Until your sure there are no leaks I would use Gear oil Sae 80,a B6100 and 7100 take 11.5 litres so that quantity won't be too far away from what your B6000 will take. make sure to drain all the old oil there are two more drain plugs on the reduction casings on the rear axle as well as the main...
Well I must commend your enthusiasm! but I have reservations of what you are trying to achieve.
All rear cylinder mowers I have seen have been trailed multi axle/cylinder type and ground driven.the former keeps the contact with uneven ground and the later, because the gear ratio between drive...
The threads on my turnbuckles have copper slip on them so they adjust easier, the downside to this is they loosen off over rough ground so the jam nut have to be well tightened.
Inside is correct, when the arms are fitted to an implement they are spread out towards the tire so the turnbuckle on the inside forms a bracing triangle to stop the implement swinging from side to side.
From your picture Eric,it doesn't look like your turnbuckle jam nuts see a lot of use?:D

On Erics factory setup the lift arms are straight, the after market version has them cranked so the turn buckles will only fit where the op has them.

There has been a few threads on linkages which I can't find at the mo but the chart at the bottom will give you the pin sizes and arm spread.
It is normal to loosen the turnbuckles to fit the arms to the implement then re tighten to stop it moving from side to side...
thanks for those pics which i take it are the new ones?
what I really wanted to see was the old ones so I could see why they would not come to bits without destroying them.
I can't get over how much Yenibz charge for delivery,I got together a list of parts I wanted, rings gaskets etc and the delivery nearly doubled the cost so I didn't order.
Out of interest,do you have some close up pics of the joint in question?
dave
You should really get an owners manual before you start, you can DL one and a service manual from the link..The B5100.B6100,B 7100 should cover your tractor.

If a more definitive answer does not come along, You can get an idea of the length you need by,place a straight edge across the circumference of the 2 rear tyres at the furthest point from the lift arm pivot and measure that distance.add a couple inches on for clearance and that should give...
I expect youv'e seen this switch?

You beat me to it Eric ,I had the same concerns on its vunerability in rough going but for getting the brass snapped off rather than the tap coming open. I have just looked at the you-tube Vid of one in operation and agree that the tap is a weak point even though it has a two stage action to...
When I bought my first B7100 nearly two years ago it didn't have a glow-plug indicator but kept on using it by giving it heat for as long as I deemed necessary.
When I finally looked to see what the problem was I could see the coil was burned out and the two wires were on one terminal to give...
Re: L1500 - Oil Drain Plug is Rounded and Stuck - Resolved
Totally agree there's nothing worse than reading or being involved in a request for help and and the trail goes cold!
Its a pity the OP did not have access to a mig because looking at the plug, I would have bet the farm that it would...
Well you have done all the right things so far but don't fight shy of that compression test which should eliminate valves, head gasket, rings and piston etc.
If they check out OK then the fuel delivery system will need further investigation.
