3 point hitch installed right?

Hi, when I bought this b1600 it did not come with a 3pt hitch setup. I ended up finding a complete cat 1 kit. Does everything look like I installed everything right? And is this style complicated to hook up? Whenever I try to spread the lower arms apart to attach my counter weight barrel I have to loosen those stabilizer bars then tighten them back in to get on pins...kinda of a a hassle.

Do you mean the turn buckles on the sides? It looks like the set up is ok to me. but as far as I know there has got to be some side to side slack in them so the arms can move freely, it shouldnt be so tight that you cant move them.. just MHO you understand

It looks like everthing is as it should be, but I think thats a cat 0 3pth and not a cat 1. A cat 1 the arms a little longer and spread wider.

What would the difference be between 0 and 1? I was told be the company selling the kits it was a 1.

There has been a few threads on linkages which I can't find at the mo but the chart at the bottom will give you the pin sizes and arm spread.
It is normal to loosen the turnbuckles to fit the arms to the implement then re tighten to stop it moving from side to side.

I don't know if it matters, but you'll notice you have the turnbuckles installed on the outside of the lower lift arms. The factory set up is to have the turnbuckles on the inside, as in Eric's picture.

On Erics factory setup the lift arms are straight,the after market version has them cranked so the turn buckles will only fit where the op has them.

Im honestly not sure if mine are supposed to be inside or outside, kinda wish they were on the outside. It would be nice and easier to tighten them up.

Inside is correct,when the arms are fitted to an implement they are spread out towards the tire so the turnbuckle on the inside forms a bracing triangle to stop the implement swinging from side to side.
From your picture Eric,it doesn't look like your turnbuckle jam nuts see a lot of use?

Inside must be a B series thing. My dads L275 has his turn buckles on the outside, much nicer to tighten them. And no I dont use the jam nuts, the turn buckles stay put pretty well without them.

The threads on my turnbuckles have copper slip on them so they adjust easier,the downside to this is they loosen off over rough ground so the jam nut have to be well tightened.

It looks to me like your sway chains are tightened in almost all of the way. I don't understand why you have to loosen them unless the pins are turned in on what you are attaching. I like the chains on the outside. My B6100E is the only tractor (B6100 to me us almost a tractor) that has the chains on the inside. I have to loosen the chains to hook up and then tighten them.

It looks like you need to move the lift links in and attach them where the stabilizer chains are and move the chain bolts to where the lift links are attached. It will lessen your lifting weight but give you more height when lifting.

On the question of whether the turnbuckles should be on the inside or out, I just installed the three point hitch on my new BX 25 (by the way, is it wrong for a grown man to be in love with a machine??).. Anyway, on my unit it's an inside job. I've attached a scan of the assembly instructions.
