    B7100 premature clutch failure

The disk was shattered to the point that the hub stayed on the input shaft and passed through the pressure plate? I've seen them shed the friction material, but never saw one do that. But that would mean the lever fingers on the pressure plate were gone too. I must be missing something... In...

    B2150 clutch not completely disengaging

I suppose it might work. As long as you are careful and don't break something (or get hurt), sure beats splitting the tractor...

    B2150 lower cluster circuit

Thanks. I'm going to start with the dealer (dreading the cost, IF they can get it) tomorrow morning. Seems like used parts are nearly impossible to come by, so if the dealer doesn't work out for the sub-harness, I'll start down the avenue of finding lamp plugs (dealer?) and making my own...

    B2150 lower cluster circuit

In the ongoing saga project B2150, while reassembling from a 2-stage clutch replacement, I realized that the entire lower circuit of the dash gage cluster is missing. That is basically the glow indicator, oil pressure, and charge lamps. I had noticed there were no lights functioning down...

    B2150 reassembly - UDT vs 80/90 again

I thought I understood, but began to question myself, and reading old posts has not given me that warm fuzzy feeling. I was under the impression that my B2150D should be running UDT other than the front diff. And when I needed to top it off, that's what I put in it. Then the clutch went out...

Not enough lift in 3pt to adjust blade well?

As someone else said, moving the lift arms to holes closer to the rear axle will increase the lifting distance quite a bit. But it also looses mechanical advantage of the lever, so will be able to lift less. Not a problem here I would think.

    B2150D torque specs flywheel/clutch

Oh, and for anyone who doesn't have a B2150D, but may have something with the same motor, or fasteners, the flywheel bolts are 17mm (head) 10mm x 1.25 with the anti-stress-riser shank. The long 8mm x 1.5 bolts/studs (6 of them) for the pressure plate stack are 12mm hex heads/nuts. I suspect...

    B2150D torque specs flywheel/clutch

I finally got started on my B2150D 2 stage clutch replacement. I had the torque specs written down, but can't figure out where they got put (it's been a while). Does anyone have a manual handy that can get me the specs for the following: Flywheel to crank Long pressure plate to flywheel (4...

My lower cost answer for Kubota colors

I had to sand and weld/repair the front rims on my B2150. I'm not a stickler for "original", but didn't want it to look like a calico either. I had some Chevy orange engine paint on the shelf. Turns out to match pretty well, and is pretty tough too. Best part is, you can get it most...

    Spray Paint Color Match?

I found that Chevy Engine Orange is not a bad match on my B2150.

Cross bar frame for middle buster/chissel?

My tractor and related projects have been on hold for a while, but hopefully I'll be back to them soon. My son and I have been talking about putting in a modest garden, and while my tractor will be complete overkill, might as well use it if I had the implements. Well, today I picked up one of...

    For Sale Parting out 1 B6100 & 1 B7100

How good are the hoods? I seem to recall being told the 7100 and 6100 have the same hood. Please PM or email with specifics, perhaps a picture?

tipped b7800 onto its left side

I'm no expert, but I've worked with tractors a few times over the last 4 decades, and LOTS of experience with rock crawler buggies. Obviously weight down low is good, weight up high is bad. Following that lowers the center of gravity, and thus increases the incline angle at which the vehicle...

    L2850 Clutch Replacement

I've never split a tractor, but I'm not terribly concerned about doing so. It's just another machine that I happen to not have done this on... yet. Just the sheer hassle, and getting that stack setup right without multiple re-dos are my only concerns. I also found a local well regarded...

    L2850 Clutch Replacement

Mine is a B2150, and other things got priority, so I've not got to it yet, but here is some light reading I accumulated recently. Some are my threads, and others with info. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12841...

    L3400 Sun Canopy

Great looking setup. And I like those mirrors too, where did you get them? I had pondered mounting GM LD truck mirrors because they are cheap, plentiful, and hold up very well. On another note, I have a canopy on my B2150D. But the ROPS is WAY to tall. That makes the canopy too tall, and...

Putting weight on the front of Bs

Yeah, proper application of weight is clearly key. Doesn't help much if the added weight is over a fulcrum (like the front axle that may be damaged due to excess traction) and lifting weight off the traction surface for the primary drive.

Putting weight on the front of Bs

And all else being equal, more weight generally equates to more traction, and other than being up high, almost never hurts (kept within reason).

    Tires and Rims, WTF???

These last 2 posts mesh well with the warnings I was attempting to pass along.
