    Newbie here needs advice between a L185DT & B2150

Good point. In that case, B2150 hands down, if the extra money isn't a problem.

    L235 Live Clutch?

Not sure I understand that. On mine, the travel clutch releases first. With continued travel, the travel pressure plate tabs eventually push up the pressure plate on the PTO clutch. It seems that the usage would be to release the travel clutch to leave implement running in place. Perhaps a...

    Newbie here needs advice between a L185DT & B2150

I'm a relative (absolute to be truthful) newbie to Kubota, and don't have a huge amount of tractor experience in general, so I'm afraid I'm about tapped out on the subject. But in my mind (not that it's worth anything), for a general purpose tractor I would go with the B2150 hands down...

    Newbie here needs advice between a L185DT & B2150

The L is generally a heavier chassis. The B series is focused on a more light duty "compact" philosophy. But your comparing one of the later larger B series to what is about (perhaps?) the smallest L tractor several generations older. Not exactly apples and apples.

    B2150 clutch not completely disengaging

The direct adjustment is accessed through an oblong port on the bell housing about where the brake pedals are. May or may not have a rubber plug. The stock clutch stack has 3 adjustable fingers accessible through that port. You can see them come up every 120* as you rotate the engine. They...

Trials and tribulations of a B2150 owner

As you no doubt know, it's really not that simple. Nobody cares what the original references may or may not be. And there is no argument that dealing directly with even magnitudes (multiples of 10) is far easier when using a base 10 number system. But metric threading is a fools errand. They...

Trials and tribulations of a B2150 owner

Just called Mark's, very helpful fellow. But alas they do not stock either of the problem "high grade" fasteners (8x1.25x110 stud or 10x1.25x25 hex). However, he did suggest switching the hex heads to socket heads which he does stock. That would have been my answer. Also mentioned he could...

Trials and tribulations of a B2150 owner

Actually I knew about Mark's but it never crossed my mind, never looked there for odd metric stuff so not sure how much he has. Copper state always has (in the past) what I need in stock, and just down the road. I wish I had thought of Marks, but I'll give him a call today to see if he could...

Trials and tribulations of a B2150 owner

It's a 40 minute drive without traffic. And when I realized the studs had become bolts (the nuts were left seized on the studs!), I called just before closing to let 'em have it. My contact there (the counter jockey) was very nice and apologetic, seemed very concerned. He got the owner (boss...

Trials and tribulations of a B2150 owner

I started to post in the "what did you do today" thread, but too much to keep up with day by day, so just venting a bit, I'll summarize the last few weeks. 1) Almost a month ago I split the tractor to take 2-stage clutch to a local well regarded clutch/brake rebuilder. Apparently they are...

    Couple ?'s about Kubota's

I just replaced the 2 stage clutch in my B2150. I can't see any practical way to add the option other than to find a suitable donor. With the cost and complexity (in particular the nightmare another poster had replacing his), I wanted to go the other way, but that would have been way worse.

    Millermatic 212

I've had a MM-175 for years and love it. Just used it to weld some fatigue broken brackets on the tractor yesterday. I really want a 210 or above, preferably a 252, but haven't found one I could justify for the difference. And my Sync 351 also reduces the pressure to upgrade. Anyway, that is...

    LA525 loader installation

I just went through this myself today. Had the system completely drained, changed out hoses on both pressure and suction/return sides, had air throughout the system. Didn't work real well right off the bat, but enough to get the bucket off the ground and get out from under the awning where I...

    retrofit a hoe?

Not long after that, I found a B2150 that came as TLB. The hoe needed work, but the tractor was solid, or so I thought. It's turned out to be a bit of a white elephant though. Every time I turn around, something else is causing trouble, mostly related to PO mistreatment. Latest was a failure...

PS leaking from top of column

I found that drawing earlier, but it doesn't seem to fit with what I observed. The leak comes out right under the steering wheel, and it even wicks up through the spline to get in/around the horn button. When wheel is removed, there is a sort or rubbery bushing (200?) that more or less just...

    B2150 schematic source?

It's a download PDF. At the top of the pages, it says "WSM, 60354-0". If there are complete schematics, I've not found them. And of course, my local Kubota dealership wanted nearly twice that for a WSM. it seems pretty detailed on all systems, though many diagrams are hard to read. The...

PS leaking from top of column

Upper seal visible after removing wheel and spacer appears to be fine. But I've noticed a fairly prevalent seep in operation that keeps the wheel column fairly wet with leaking fluid. Anyone have experience with this type of leak? On removal, I noticed that the wheel itself was not well...

    B2150 schematic source?

Can anyone provide a resource for a full schematic on a B2150? I knew it had some problems, but the more I poke at it, while it ran adequately up till it's clutch failure, and I knew it had some electoral issues, it's now become apparent that I have some significant electrical gremlins. This...

    B7 100 HST pto grinding.

I recently (in the last weeks) had to replace an expensive 2 stage clutch. Local heavy equipment clutch and brake rebuild shop initially said they could rebuild and provide both setup and machine services far cheaper than I could buy a "set" off ebay (few hundred USD rather than ~$600 for just...
