    Ag tires mounted backwards?

That's what I thought, but you don't know what you don't know, and I have no experience running tractors on AZ colecchi/dirt/dust. And my off-road experience is almost exclusively "rock crawling", a TOTALLY different world.

    Ag tires mounted backwards?

Hmm. I was thinking of this as a maintenance issue (as in I need to reverse them), but perhaps it should have been in Operations? Or maybe Tires? Oh well, can't move it now...

    Ag tires mounted backwards?

My recently purchased B7100D (4x4) has all 4 tires mounted backwards. Coming from the SE (Alabama) with mud and red clay, I've never seen where that was done, or would make sense. Is there a possible reason for this? Perhaps related to our hard dry soil in the Phoenix, AZ area? Or did the...

3-Point lift: Service, repair, or user error?

Yes. Tried it in, out, in, out... It feels like it's still connected, the drag is firm but about what I would expect. No "clunk" or grinding, no lurch/jerk/noise as would be typical of some types of mechanical failure. If there is no "they usually fail like that when this part shears" or...

3-Point lift: Service, repair, or user error?

Thanks. Just came back in to post that I found the little adjustable rod-clamp thing. I can't believe I looked at it earlier and didn't realize how it worked. Sometimes you (or at least I) "look but don't see". This time I raised it standing beside the unit and it was very obvious. I'll...

3-Point lift: Service, repair, or user error?

Re: Front Drive does not engage. Sorry about the incorrect title. I can't seem to edit it, and also can't delete to repost, so I sent a notify to the moderators to see if they can correct it. My apologies for any confusion this causes.

    A DOH moment & a question...

I just did exactly as described in the first message. I've got a roughly 1/6 acre side yard where the dogs have free reign for the most part. Holes dug and filled in, septic cleanout over a year ago, some irrigation lines and such, some gopher holes dug out by the dogs, filled holes settling...

3-Point lift: Service, repair, or user error?

Front Drive does not engage. In following forum etiquette, I'm going to post each (seemingly) separate question in a separate thread, but with the same intro. I have a sad little 89 B7100D. I just bought it last week, and today was the first chance to put it into use. Generally it is pretty...

    BX23 Skid Plate

I would reverse those bolts, and maybe switch to (tacked/captured) carriage head bolts to smooth out the bottom side. Based on off road trucks, anything hanging down is likely to hang you up in a bad place, and very shortly those bolts will be buggered to a point you'll never get them off...

    B7100 ROPS mounting

That makes sense, but I didn't think to ask. We'll see when it comes in, and I'll try to remember to get pictures and post the results.

    BX7100 attachments (backhoe?)

Thanks for all the advice. I've considered most of it, but most of the time I "need it", it's late when I'm working after sun down (when it cools down!), or on the weekend, and trying to find/get something always looses out to "just get it done". For septic tank, lines, that sort of thing...

    B7100 ROPS mounting

I just got off the phone with the local service/sales rep in N Phoenix. Turns out it's a bit more than $150, but not too bad. Tax and all they want $250 for the bolt on Kubota ROPS intended for this tractor. Apparently it's a pretty quick bolt-on. I figured the break even point on my...

    BX7100 attachments (backhoe?)

Re: B7100 attachments (backhoe?) And again, thanks... On the 3pt, that's what I suspected, but it's good to get confirmation. I had to clear around a foundation about 1' deep and 2' wide for about 40'+ with shovel and pick with wheelbarrow. That was 3 weeks ago and I'm still feeling the...

    B7100 ROPS mounting

Thanks. In my subsequent reading I ran across someone commenting that there was some sort of "dealer subsidized" program for the old 7100s. I'm planning to call tomorrow, and I really hope you are right. For $150 it's not worth the time to build one, though I'll still likely modify it for a...

    B7100 ROPS mounting

How was the B7100 ROPS mounted to the tractor? Mine does not have one, looks like it never did, or at least there is no obvious attachment point. I have material and tooling used for building roll cages and tube bodies for off-road vehicles. I plan to build a ROPS with integrated sun shade to...

Just bought a B7100D. Good to know on this, in the past I've always spec'd Wix for everything!

    BX7100 attachments (backhoe?)

B7100 attachments (backhoe?) First some background: I just purchased a rough little B7100 4x4 apparently made in 1989. It's all there and working so far as I've determined, unfortunately the hobs meter numbers are completely bleached out and unreadable. It also is a little hard starting and...
