    Tractor weight and concrete floor

Not to be pedantic, but 1x1x1 is a cubic unit. 1x1 is a square unit. I believe that rating is assuming solid support so no flex occurs, and is the theoretical minimum pressure at which the mix will begin to break down (crumble). The thicker pour just means less flex which is a different...

    B7100 Complete Front Axle

Over a year since the OP last posted, but just in case he or someone else stumbles onto this, I'm still looking for a B7100 (or 6100) hood in decent shape.

    Tractor weight and concrete floor

Here is another way to look at it. I've been looking into a BendPak 10k 2 post lift. It is asymmetric, and capable of safely lifting my 7500 lb Crew Cab truck. Their recommended minimum concrete pad for direct mounting (without creating a dedicated footing) is 4". And that is a LOT more...

    Front end loader on b2620

Things like this just tend to get loose, particularly with the vibration of the diesel combined with the flex of hydraulic action. Also had a lot of that on my rock buggy. I got tired of that stuff long ago, and I use quite a lot of Loctite. Mostly blue "service grade" that still allows...

    Front end loader on b2620

Check the threads and make sure they are not damaged, then clean and put back in with locktite or other thread locker. Letting them work loose makes its function compromised AND it will strip out the holes causing a real problem to repair. Once I cleaned up my new-to-me B2150, I found out the...

    New ROPS for my B7100HST-D

With the Kubota incentives, my dealer charged me over $200 for the ROPS. Count your blessings and keep a good relation with that dealer. Some, like mine, are out for getting blood from a turnip.

    resurfacing flywheel mm reference values

I'm very comfortable with automotive clutches. Changed my first in a Pinto back around '81 when I was 16. Also, from memory, my 66' GTO a couple of times, a friend's big block stick 71 Camaro, any number of trucks, etc. Also built my first car motor (a 340 Magnum for my 'Cuda drug from a...

    resurfacing flywheel mm reference values

Great news! Your story has me almost scared to go forward on my own 2 stage clutch replacement. Sounds like you have not yet checked the clutch function under load, but hopefully that will go smoothly. Good luck!

3 Pt Hitch Check Chains - Turnbuckles - cheap

I bought chains (mine were missing too) for my 2150 off ebay from hoyetractor. Item 300722136447 looks like the same thing I have. Another seller is listing them for a little less under 321073060898. So far so good, but really haven't put them to any hard test yet. And some of the guys...

B7100- B219 Loader Metal Oil Lines

I agree. Silver Solder (etc), at least the "good stuff" (SafetySilv in higher % with good cleaning and proper flux) is used in far more strenuous applications all the time. That would be my choice when/if I have to do the same.

    B2150 Rear PTO

If it's like mine, the 3 point linkages will fit and function with the hoe frame still in place.

    B2150 dual clutch(?) setup

Thanks for asking, but nothing good to report. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather (clear blue skies, highs in 70s) to get some outside house refurbish and paint done. Add in other random issues to deal with, holidays, family, never seems to be enough time to get back to it. Last...

    Expensive Cheap Parts Lesson

Sadly, Kubota is a corporation, not a person (or owner with vision). And there is little continuity of conscience or goals. Like Craftsman, Stanley, Jacobs chucks, and an endless list of others; all it takes is a "realignment of priorities" (or some other corporate MBA Orwellian double speak)...

    B2150 dual clutch(?) setup

I just checked with the local Kubota shop, and the unofficial guestimate is $2500 to $3000 for the complete job. On the up side, the service guy did agree to setup the clutch stack for me for just shop rate. So that may be the way I'll be going. olthumpa: Thanks for the link. I'll have to...

    B2150 dual clutch(?) setup

This is another of my dual clutch questions. The service manual suggests that setup of the dual clutch assembly stack must be accomplished using a special setup table/fixture. Apparently references are measured from fixture features, and if that is correct, makes setup without the table (or...

    B2150 dual clutch(?) adjust

Did you adjust it engaged, or disengaged? It seems that it pretty much has to be disengaged, but I'm not keen on assumptions, and the manual doesn't say.

Splitting a B2150 to RR 2 stage clutch

Since it looks like it's all but certain I'll be replacing the clutch in my B2150, and I've never "split a tractor" before, I'm wondering what the best approach is. Looks like my B7100 wouldn't be too bad, but the B2150 is a comparatively large compact and my impression is that this is likely...

    Something I do for fun

I would bet he's talking about the Plymouth GTX. http://www.musclecarfacts.com/plymouth/plymouth-gtx I think the AMC your are remembering was AMX.

    B2150 dual clutch(?) adjust

My B2150 has been slipping the clutch. I didn't think it would be a huge deal, I've done it plenty of times with cars and trucks, but it's looking more and more like an expensive pain the behind and a LOT more trouble than expected. Over $500 in parts alone! So I wanted to do everything I...
