    Water pump leak

I don't have one of those tractors, but in the absence of anyone else offering suggestions I would attempt to troubleshoot by asking myself some questions: 1. When did it start leaking... or what might have caused the original leak? As in did it start after someone did something to the water...

    Tried ChatGPT?

Great question. Wish I had more faith in the answer. BTW did it automatically repeat the answer, or did you click the refresh button (or whatever they call it) to allow it to have a second go at answering the question?

    Amen to that.

    Tried ChatGPT?

Yes scary is what I had in mind. It provided stunningly good summaries of a couple of books I'd read, and equally impressive answer to comparing/contrasting them. Its not perfect on details about M4500DT tractors (tried to tell me they had a 3 cyl V-2600 engine), and declined to answer...

    Interpreting numbers stamped on injector

I've had a look at your other posts and feel that replacing injectors may be premature and not help at all. Also, your reference to seating the injectors without tuning required has me puzzled, I simply can't comprehend what you mean there by that phrase. If the amount of blowby is as large as...

    Solar Electric Fencer

Make sure you ground it thoroughly - makes a big difference to effectiveness. And if you don't have a directional fence tester, I suggest you get one to confirm voltage and help with troubleshooting when you need it.

I should have bought a Tonka

Aaaah, Ok. If that's what he means, pity someone can't correct the spelling to help comprehension.

I should have bought a Tonka

OK I give up, can someone explain what an ab tonka is? Googled it, no such thing. Tried to figure out if its a fat fingers typo (I am prone to those) but still can't work it out.

    Interpreting numbers stamped on injector

Hi Sanjeev, removing them is easy enough if you have the right spanners and sockets. The Nanni engine manual shows the sizes needed, torques. To avoid damaging the nuts I used a slotted socket, like the manual shows. I decided to get the injectors overhauled rather buy new knock-off ones of...

Kubota M4500DT pics and where to source parts

Hi Sanjeevtyagi, we've all been there at some stage :-) The correct manuals are clear about those questions, PM me with your email address. If your existing manuals don't have that info, chances are that there's a lot of other stuff missing from them.

Kubota M4500DT pics and where to source parts

Welcome to the forum sanjeevtyagi. Power steering uses oil from a cylindrical tank normally mounted above the exhaust manifold. Blowing smoke from the breather tube doesn't sound good and I don't know much about flushing with diesel flushing agent - others on this forum will be better placed to...

    Solar battery charger for tractor

#1 decision you need to make is whether you need a charger (can charge a partially discharged battery) or a maintainer (keeps a charged battery topped up). According to a US maintainer manufacturer I queried, a maintainer won't properly charge a partially discharged battery. For a maintainer...

    Hydraulic pumps

Welcome to the forum. I know little about those excavators, and in the absence of any other info from members here I'd suggest that you get a workshop service manual from somewhere (I had a quick Google and they don't seem commonly available, not available on Kubotabooks.com). If none found...

    Looking at a M4050 - Thoughts

I bet the operators manual prohibits using starting aids, and this forum has lots of evidence why that is so. IMHO with that information, the tractor is probably worth only scrap value. Unless you can get a good engine from somewhere (unlikely) and have the resources to swap it.

    Aging of Sodium Hypochlorite solution

Thanks for your replies everyone. It's in the original container, cap has good seals, so I'll assume still full or near full strength. I have used it previously similarly diluted for washing down walls pre-painting, lots of rinsing with fresh water, grass was unaffected.

    Aging of Sodium Hypochlorite solution

One for the industrial chemists :) I'm told that this stuff loses its effectiveness with time and other things. At supposedly 300 g/litre of sodium hypochlorite when fresh, the specific gravity is stated in the MSDS to be 1.15 to 1.20 @ 20 degC. If it loses effectiveness, does the SG reduce...

    Need info about valves

True, the one I have doesn't have a country of origin marked on it, so maybe it was made somewhere other than China. The cast-in letters for the PNT ports on the OP photos looked to me exactly like mine (photo taken before I installed it April 2021) leading me to maybe jump to a wrong...
