    Kubota M5950DT charge problem

Good suggestions above. 3 months seems an awful long time to troubleshoot this; and it sounds like the dealer is applying swapnostics not diagnostics, so maybe they aren't that clued up on basic electrical systems. Better to withdraw and get an autoelectrician to examine it. I hope they...

    Manual Problems

An advantage with some early-in-the-model run parts or service manuals is that the images can be clearer. I think it's because the reprinting process, and I'm talking official factory published version, not PDF knock-offs. This can be important for detailed images like wiring diagrams...

how to remove pin bushing on end arm link

I'd forgotten about that trick for getting sleeves out. Thanks for the reminder! Would love to hear if the OP is successful.

    Kubota Paint

If you complain loud enough your dealer might contribute to fixing it up, even if Kubota won't do anything officially. Worth considering as a plan B anyway. Encourage the dealer to imagine how it would look if you park it near that dealership with a big sign on it complaining about the crappy...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

Yes, think I should check the compression... was on my list to do at some stage anyway. Oregon Fuel Injection sounds the business, shame they are on the wrong continent. BTW I found 6 marks on the flywheel: 16FT and 16TC 25FT and 25TC 34FT and 34TC FTs were each about 7.5 teeth before TCs...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

Thanks Wolfman, Kubota Newbie... yes, the marks are visible if you remove the starter motor. There's no pointer or other mark to align them to. There is no tear-drop shaped cover on the RHS of this flywheel housing, my parts manual shows it too. So have set the valve lash today, all were just a...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

Thanks Wolfman. I'll pull the starter and have a look for the marks later today. There were a couple of reasons for finding the marks, triggered by reading the S2600-B WSM. The WSM refers to timing marks for setting valve lash, another another mark for checking "fuel tightness of delivery...

    50 hour service

Thanks for mentioning that trick - I hadn't heard of it before, will try it out next time I need to clean the suction screen and magnets. That will take a bit of time, but it sounds like the vacuum should give me time to plug the inlet to the canister that holds the screen, without creating a...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

Hi all, I'm trying to see the TDC mark on the flywheel (there must be one - it's mentioned in another post http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26009&highlight=timing+S2600) but danged if I can see any mark, nor can I see any pointer to line the mark up to. I'm looking...

    Meaning of "A/AC type"

Think I've nailed it: the "AC" type has creep gears and ground speed PTO. So the number of gears is 16 forward x 4 reverse. The straight "A" type doesn't have creep or ground-speed PTO so has 8 forward x 2 reverse gears.

    M4500 & M4500DT tire pressures

Good point JerryMT - the pressures from my Kubota WSM would be for bias ply tyres. I hadn't thought about radials.

    M4500 & M4500DT tire pressures

My operator's manual doesn't say what tyre pressures should be used. Weird. However the Workshop Service Manual has the info. So for those without a WSM, I hope this is useful: "For usual works except for front loader work Front tires 6.00-16-6PR = 340 kPa 48 psi (M4500 and M5500) 7.50-16-6PR...

    Meaning of "A/AC type"

I reckon you are onto something! I've got a couple of different parts manuals - the latest PDF one identifies different parts for M4500s destined for. The parts manual refers to country codes: A = USA CA = Canada FR = France GR = Greece PO = Portugal AU = Australia. But the parts listing also...

    Meaning of "A/AC type"

Thanks Vacula and Wolfman for those explanations. If it isn't in Vacula's list of Kubota codes, maybe as Wolfman says it's not significant. I'll check the manual for where I saw the comment about A/AC, that could tie in with what you say.

    Meaning of "A/AC type"

Hi I've recently bought a M4500DT and joined the forum. Can anyone please tell me what the "A/AC type" means that you see on the covers of some of the M4500/M5500/M7500 manuals? Other manuals don't include it, and on the WSM I got it implies that a non-A/AC type is different. Thank you. PS...
