    Operate L295 without Hydraulic pump?

That's the hydraulic block. It's a nearly solid chunk of iron with an internal passage for tapping into hydraulic power for a loader etc. The fittings may need replacement (the block itself is likely fine except it's paint) If you don't need it, ok to bypass it with a hose. If you plug it up...

Kubota M4500dt stuck in gear will not move

A locked trans can be caused by a worn detent ball and/or shifter forks. The trans is in one gear, and the worn parts allow another gear to come into mesh at the same time, which locks it up. It may not happen again soon, but the fact that it happened once means it is possible to happen again...

    Operate L295 without Hydraulic pump?

Technically you could run without it - but it will still take some doing to stop the leaks. It might be less work to cut out the worst rusted parts of the hydraulic lines and just put some inexpensive automotive reinforced rubber hose over them with screw clamps. Then run the tractor without...

L 48 hydraulic problem after splitting wood. Help

Does the backhoe swing function work ok? Swing operates off the pump and system feeding the right side. (Its pump is forward of the main pump up front). Any chance the splitter got connected to the left-side fittings? The symptoms described sound like the issue is in the main hydraulic...

    Kubota L2650 clutch

I'm no expert but all clutches chatter a tiny bit as the slipping stops. There are small coil springs near the center of the clutch hub that soak it up so the operator is usually unaware of it. It could be that your damper springs are rusted or broken so it's a little grabby. Usually not...

L2550 What is normal diesel sound?

Diesels from the '80s make a lot of racket compared to gas engines. If the rap is noticeably different under rapid acceleration in neutral or when under pto load, then there could be a bit of water in the fuel, or an obstructed injector, or possibly a bearing or piston with excess clearance...

    L355SS Charging problem

Several places offer the 15471-64010 alternator delivered under $90 - just google or eBay it and pick one. I used to get alts & starters from Pat's small engine - but the server is off line.

    Rear drive case oil seal--295

As these machines get older some of the axle gearboxes have developed pin hole rust spots. One easy fix is to lift that side high enough to drain the oil out of just the end case, sand or grind clean the leak area, and put on some JB weld. Should stick and last a while.

    L3450 wet clutch issue

Yes - Kubota was relatively cautious introducing their wet clutches. First came the hydraulic shuttle in the L355. Larger versions appeared in the mid 80's machines. Some integrated the pto, others separated the pto. They handled up to 60 hp and were given the name Ever Clutch. With...

    L3450 PTO Clutch

The key (as I'm sure you know) is starting every bolt but just one or two turns in, lining up with a tapered pin or maybe a big #3 Philips screwdriver. Kubota used a lot of fine threads in the main castings. The dimensional control wasn't too good on US made loaders so there are a lot of...

    L3450 PTO Clutch

Good for you - there's always another way a sharp eye will find. Glad you prevailed! As we get older (with backs and knees acting up) we need to work a little smarter if possible. Right now I'm building a ground-mount for a PV array (10kw) - the rack is about 16' high and 40 ft long made of...

    L3450 PTO Clutch

Any chance the brake on that side is dragging - or differential lock engaged? Check by lifting the other side? or both?

    L3450 PTO Clutch

In 2wd with the two shifters in high gear and high range (4th high) the engine should turn by turning a lifted rear tire. There are three adjustment bolts. Mark each as you go.

L2850 New Clutch not fully disengaging ?

It sounds like a part mismatch affecting the stack length from the crank flange to the fingers. Even if you grind the arm and housing enough to disengage the travel disk, it may not be possible to get the pto disk to disengage without splitting it again and correcting the fit. The only good...

    LA680 loader connector?

The quick connectors on many Kub loaders are 3/8" or 1/2" Parker 60 Series (ISO 7241-1 Series B). A good place to get them is here

    PTO issue

The cable engages a jaw-type over running coupling in the transmission (see attached). Try to verify that the cable is moving it all the way in and holding it fully engaged. If the pto still "chatters" the coupling jaws may be worn down and need replacing. If so, it means splitting the...

    3 wheel drive L245DT

First step - need to open it up to see which part versions it has. Some of the L245's had straight cut gears, some had helical cut teeth. Several parts are also used in other models. For instance, for S/N up to 11485 the bull gear is 53 teeth, straight cut. The L185 uses the same part...

    L48 pump issues

For the main front pump, the factory parts list shows there two versions of the shaft from the engine - one for serial numbers up to 60260 and the other for 60261 & up. Hope this helps.

    L3450 PTO Clutch

Hi Boyde I thought I'd offer some related experience. I have a L3250 that is very nearly the same tractor. Mine has a Kubota loader and the right side loader frame bracket covers the clutch adjustment window. related post here. If your L3450 has a loader it is likely the same. If your...
