I have a L2800 Kubota, the pto cable broke--i put a new one on with the bracket. it chattered i adjusted it and when i put a load on it or raise the rpms it still chatters no matter how much i adjust. what am i doing wrong?

The cable engages a jaw-type over running coupling in the transmission (see attached). Try to verify that the cable is moving it all the way in and holding it fully engaged. If the pto still "chatters" the coupling jaws may be worn down and need replacing. If so, it means splitting the tractor to get at it. (labor$$)
