Hydraulic Parts, Tractor Supply or Local Hydraulic Shop

I use discount hydraulic hose Very quick, helpful and good prices. I give them an end-to-end length, size and end style and they get it out same day. Price is around half the local car parts stores.

Using 3 Point Hydraulics with the loader off???

Here's a diagram of the hydraulic block in your photo. If a tractor is not fitted with a loader the in and out ports are plugged and the screw slot points toward the letter O. When a loader is installed the screw is turned so the slot points toward the letter C (it only turns a quarter turn)...

3 Point Hydraulics acting funny; L2950

If it holds with the speed valve closed, then the lift cylinder is ok. If it had a bad seal or scored wall, it would bleed down from wherever it was set.

3 Point Hydraulics acting funny; L2950

I didn't realize that the valve is never happy. I guess if it were mine I'd test the rod length idea by temporarily extending it. If that doesn't help, take the valve apart, clean & inspect and go from there. Does this tractor have draft control? Does its position have any effect on the hunting?

L2950; Fan shaft broke off front of water pump

Pretty sure you can replace the coupling parts without taking anything else apart or taking the loader off - just raise it up out of the way. The photos don't show whether the aluminum coupling is partly broken - a new one can be had here. The flexible disk could be temporarily replaced by...

3 Point Hydraulics acting funny; L2950

When any of my rigs hunt like that it usually cures it to lower the touch lever a bit. Even if you ignore it there is no damage being done by the slight bouncing. On the fan drive the photos don't show whether the aluminum coupling is partly broken - there's a new one here if you need one...

    l3600-l3710

An L3600 could have GST tranmission, not HST. The GST has a regular clutch and gearbox but shifting is automated. 4000 hours is a lot of use - think of a pickup with 200,000 miles on it. Maintenance and type of use are everything. Could be very worn in areas expensive to fix - get an...

    L3600/LA680 loader hydraulics issue

If the curl pipes were switched, pushing the lever right would roll it back. You won't damage anything trying it. The worst will be a hissing relief valve and no motion. If any hose is wrong, another has to be too. It can get confusing pretty fast. I noticed the pressure-on-both-sides...

Reconnected front end loader--no hydraulic pressure--why?

Check the hydraulic block - maybe the diverter valve was turned to shut off flow to the loader while it was removed

    L3600/LA680 loader hydraulics issue

Is roll-back function normal? If not, the curl/dump circuit hoses may have been switched during the mods (were they disconnected?). Try swapping them and see if it goes back to normal. If the LA680 valve works like my LA1150 valve, in dump mode pressure is applied to both sides of the...

    4 wheel drive seize?

Will it move in 2wd? Lift the front and try to rotate a wheel by hand. I one turns, problem is in the other. If nothing will move its in the pinion/differential/driveshaft blocking both sides. See what difference disengaging fwd makes.

    L3450 wet clutch issue

Re: Clutch L3450DT Several parts are different. The L3450 was available with wet or dual dry clutch, synchro or regular gearbox, mid pto or not, so finding all the right parts might not be easy. Does your wet clutch creep in neutral (drag)? chatter? make noise? grab? slip? shift slow?

    L355SS 4WD leaking oil

Are you quite sure its the spindle seals that are leaking? (there are 3 more seals) As a check, try taking off the wheel, cleaning the area with solvent, and winding several turns of cotton string around the spindle/hub next to the seal. Run it a while and see if there's an effect. If not...

    M6950DT Broken PTO Shaft

It would be good to have a look at a M6950 shop manual but from the parts list on the Kubota website it looks like a straight-forward job. Drain the oil and the gearbox unbolts. My L5450's pto has a very similar shaft/gearbox setup. There's a thread on TBN here with pictures showing my pto...

    starter problems on l245

Check that all the wiring connections are clean and tight - other than that, proper function should come with the rebuild.

    M6950DT Broken PTO Shaft

Wenger's of Myerstown, PA lists one in stock for $170. (link here) Check to see if your pto shaft is too long and pushes down on the pto when the back end of an attachment like a rotary mower raises up. The pto shaft is hardened so it won't bend much before it snaps.

    Erratic power problem: M6800DT

The M6800 has 2 low-mounted tanks so it has several tubes and fittings in the fuel/vent system. The attached pdf's from the Kub website are for the rops version - the cab versions show even more twists and turns. The transfer pump has to lift the fuel up to the injection pump so there are...

    Kubota L2250 PTO question

Mike, I don't think there are mechanical inhibitors on the pto shift linkage beyond the speed selector plate knob. With the engine off the shifters should be free to move. I left a response to your TBN post with a couple pages attached from an owners manual.

    L355SS skipping and spewing smoke

Water in the fuel tank can cause white smoke, rough running, and engine knocking. A few drops can get into an injector pipe and the engine can sound like its coming apart. Drain the tank into a container and look for any water drops in the bottom.

    PTO Issue?

One part that goes slow enough to cycle like that is the chain on the auger. They get rusty and stiff from sitting and could produce pulsating rubbing noises. Spray it with penetrating oil and let it run a while - maybe it will free up. If not take it off at the master link and soak it in...
