got old 295 Kubota that we love to use around here--started to leak hydraulic oil out of rear drive case--2 wheel and 4 wheel work fine--someone know if oil seal can be changed with out tear transfer gear box down--looking for easy way

Thanks

As these machines get older some of the axle gearboxes have developed pin hole rust spots. One easy fix is to lift that side high enough to drain the oil out of just the end case, sand or grind clean the leak area, and put on some JB weld. Should stick and last a while.

Usually you have to remove the case . There is a large snap ring that is removed and then you can pull out the axle. . You can then change the seal. Make sure the bearings are good. While in there . To reseal the case clean surface with acetone and use sealer THE RIGHT STUFF. Cost a little more but is the only one that works. Dave
