    M-Series Fuel System Air Leak

I agree with Wolfman. Sounds like you already tracked the problem down and it'll be a simple fix. The tanks aren't bad to remove but they don't have a filter. I just had to fix the drain plug bung on my right side tank. My son and I removed, washed, welded and reinstalled in one afternoon.

    Black smoke, soot = concern?

Might consider a different weight oil since you're in cold climate. I use Amsoil series 3000 5w30 in mine and cold weather doesn't effect the performance. Poor point is -53 and doesn't have the need for additional additives. I use either Amsoil or Donaldson filters. The Donaldson filters I get...

L3710 bucket cylinder has cracked gland.

Wonder what's so special about the gland? I had to replace one on my Kuhn mower 2 years ago and the shop I use had one on the shelf. They rebuilt the cylinder and replaced the gland for like $80. I was very happy with that.

    Molybdenum based EP grease

I don't know, Crisco is probably better than some stuff on the market. I'd rather have that than anything that's clay base.

    Molybdenum based EP grease

Don't know about the price difference but Amsoil also has 5% moly.

    HST Whine.....Gone.......!

Best way to eliminate hst whine is buy gear drive tractor, problem solved. Honestly though, all of them will have some kind of little noise that will drive you crazy.

    Coolant... after the fact

I believe the Zerex will be fine. I use the same red elc in my tractors that I use in my diesel truck. Main thing I look for is make sure it's silica free.

    hydraulic disconnects

Could be the problem. I don't know what brand they are. They were on the baler when I bought it. The rest of the line on my other implements have ball type and don't give me any issues. I'm going to change them before this hay season and see what it will do with new ones.

    Flow Priority Valve

Try a heavy equipment place like a Cat dealer. Years ago I had to have the flow set on a trackhoe for a hammer and they had everything needed to set the flow.

Not sure what you need tested, but do you have a local hydraulic shop? Unless your dealer does their own stuff (most don't) they have to have a shop they use. Just ask them any find out what they do.

    hydraulic disconnects

My problem is getting them unhooked from the tractor. It doesn't matter if it's running or not. Even shutting it down and relieving the pressure doesn't help. It's all I can do to get the lines out of the coupler. It's not the tractor side because everything else I hook to this set of remotes...

    hydraulic disconnects

Since you brought up the different styles I have a question. Why not use the ball tip? Most of mine are ball but the only set I have any issues with are the poppet style. What or why do I have issues with that style? Have factory couplers on the tractor.

    Molybdenum based EP grease

I don't have any issues with the Amsoil Off-road grease I use in cold weather but I do keep my gun in the house. If cold temps are a issue it also comes in NLGI#1 which would pump easier.

    Molybdenum based EP grease

I'll have to respectfully disagree. Like Sidecarflip mentioned clay base grease can cause all kinds of problems. They bought us a barrel at the quarry because it was a little cheaper. Probably cost us $100k in bearings and down time. Just a small amount of heat and it will turn back to dirt.

    9540 8 speed noise

My M9000 has a strange noise it makes and sounds just like it's in the trans. It's the drawbar.

    What fuel to use

Kerosene has no lubrication purposes but I've heard of people using it but it was on older engines. I use Amsoil all in one conditioner and have (knock one wood) never had any issue with fuel gelling. I use my L every day during the winter.

Diesel fuel storage with the B3350 issues

Re: Diesel fuel storage As far as conditioner goes I use the Amsoil all in one. It cuts way down on smoke so would probably work good in a dpf engine.

    What fuel to use

The trash doesn't come from the tankers it gets stirred up from the bottom of the storage tanks as the fuel is being pumped in. As far as filters go I've seen filters removed from the station pumps because they were stopped up and have a empty can screwed back on so they could continue to sell.

What made you happy you got the backhoe today?

I think if I had a BX I would have been happier with a backhoe just because of the size. Tractor is to small for most of what I use my L for so leaving the backhoe on wouldn't be a big deal. The problem for me wasn't how difficult it was it was simply the time. Just say I had a 20 minute job...

What made you happy you got the backhoe today?

My first Kubota was a B7100 with BH and I used it a lot but it was never taken off the tractor. After getting a bigger tractor I found myself avoiding jobs because I didn't want to put the backhoe on just to have to take it right back off. If I had a tractor I could just leave it on I might be...
