    Dead tractor

Yes, the ignition switch on that machine is simple and ignorant to the old screw driver trick at the starter. What does concern me is the"buzzing" noise you heard behind the dash. Noises like that can mean a short, partial continuity, etc. I'd test the ignition switch, check for any wire...

Can the lag time between shifts on a L3710 GST be adjusted?

The GST transmissions do have an undesirable lag between shifts. It's annoying but nature of the beast. About the only time you can get one to shift quick is if your up-shifting going down a hill. I don't believe there is anything you can do to speed up the shifts as it needs to synchronize...

    b7200 idiot lights don't work!

There are two small fuse holders up front between the battery or transmission cooler (depending if you have a gear drive or HST model) on the muffler side of the machine. If the fuses are ok, the contacts within the fuse holder may need cleaned. The main "200A" fusible link is behind the...

B7200HST rotted rims - discontinued parts ??help??

Your rear tires look too small. They must be 8-16's. You can tell by the way the tractor sits raked back. The rears on a 4x4 B7200 should be 9.5-16.

    RC60-72 mower gear box removal

Attached is a page from the service manual. It's not for your specific model, however, I used it to rebuild my gearbox and should be very similar for all the "H" gearboxes.

    L4610 - Engine Block Heater

Attached are the instructions for the factory block heater. I installed one on my L3010 last year and it was pretty straight forward. I did use locktite on the adapter bushing and it has not leaked a drop.....

    RC60-72 mower gear box removal

There is nothing special when removing the gearbox. Something is probably rust-welded in place. A little heat and a hammer should do the trick.

    Kubota L3710 PTO operation?

See attached from the owners manual. Since you have a GST, you want the section that says "without independent pto"

    B6200 Tire Qs

I run the Carlisle Multi Trac on the rear of my B7200 and think they are a great turf tire. You wont need anything over a 4 ply on the B6200 as it's too small to overload. The heaver ply tires can be a real PITA to mount too. You'll find the turfs aren't the greatest for log skidding...

Mid PTO on B series tractors. Size spec?

This would definatly be the easiest route to take. Those couplers/MMM driveshafts pop up on ebay and other places from time to time. I'd hack off the end and weld your own shaft to it......

    Case cracking 3 point backhoe

You can still find some "ladder" type backhoe subframes for the older Grand L's. I scored an older Woods subframe on Craigslist the other year and have seen a few since then....

Looking at a Kabota L3710 GST, need some advice.

A normal but annoying trait of the GST. The area where this can be problematic is if you're hauling something uphill and accidentally shift. The tractor will come to a dead stop while it tries to synchronize and the load you're hauling can shift or spill. So it's best to preselect a gear and...

    Stuck on a tree stump

Seriously? Aint no way in hell my B7100 weighed 2,000LBS. Not even close. I got mine pinned between two oaks shortly after got it and was able to muscle it from side to side and had it out without too much trouble.

Does anyone know if all L4600 HST tractors are equipped with "Featherstep HST" ?

My 2001 L3010 has the featherstep HST, so I'd have to assume it was standard from that point on on the Grand L's. I'll be honest when I say I really enjoy it compared to the notcyness of a mechanical HST. Attached is an article from my L3010 dealer guide talking about the system a little...

Now you have to call 811 first and wait for underground utilities to be marked. Contacting an underground gas or electric line will unnerve the most experienced operators and fill your drawers!

    PTO

If your machine was optioned with an "independent PTO", then no, it will continue to spin. There is usually a label near the PTO lever indicating that it's independent.
