There is no HST switch at the treadle pedal on a grand L10 machine, only at the clutch (unless it's a glide shift)

Hammer a pick into it and wiggle it out. You might have to hammer a few holes and alternate the wiggling. Make sure your input shaft doesn't have excessive play to it or a new seal will leak.
