    b2401dt mid mount mower

I'd also be interested to hear what others have to say. One of my machines is a gear drive, and I've never heard the overrunning clutch operate either. Mine lacks a mid pto, so maybe maybe the are more audible then the rear pto?

    b2401dt mid mount mower

The noise you're describing sounds like an overrunning clutch in action, which is normal.

    B7800 blowing 5A start/stop fuse, solenoid ok

I'm convinced Japanese mice don't chew wires or Kubota would have done things differently. B series have the nests behind the dash and near the tank, L series right above the bell housing where the main harness runs through...

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

See attached. It's under the dash bolted back to back with another relay. If I remember correctly, I cut the wire on mine, put a ring terminal on it, and used the mounting bolt as my ground.

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

If you go back to post# 40, all you need to do is ground the terminal on the load side of the starter relay trigger coil and you will simultaneously bypass the HST switch, PTO switch, and all the connecting wire between.

    B7800 blowing 5A start/stop fuse, solenoid ok

I'm with ya. The B7800 appears to be a B2910 with all the operator presences stuff incorporated into it. I had a chance to study the wiring diagram and the 30A is definitely what protects the solenoid, and the 5A for the controller. What I'm wondering is if the controller was damaged when the...

    B7800 blowing 5A start/stop fuse, solenoid ok

You might want to double check the manual on fuse size. 5A seems small for solenoid.

    Will not Crank, Fuel issue

The B7610 does use a key stop solenoid, so it sure does sound like it's not working or stuck. There is a 30A fuse on the muffler side of the engine that should say Solenoid on it. Make sure the fuse isn't blown.

    Which mower deck?

The RCK72-30B is for the B2630 & B3030 which replaced the B2710 & B2910. The brochure I have indicates they use different mounting methods, so I would assume they are not comparable.

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

Well, this stings, but I want to apologize to everyone (especially the OP) as I WAS DEAD NUTS WRONG. I just crawled underneath my L3010 and discovered there is indeed a treadle position safety switch. It’s located not far from the hydraulic oil filter. See attached image. I can clearly see that...

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

I read it three times, what am I missing here??

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

I never objected to it's existence, just trying to tell the fellows to stop telling him it's at the treadle, because it damn sure aint!

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

Here is your starting circuit simplified. Your issue lies somewhere in the highlighted section. Note that this is what it takes to physically spin the starter motor, but not fire the tractor over. The "timer relay" is the unit that engages and disengages the fuel pump solenoid. It sounds...

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

The neutral safety switch can't kill the tractor while running. The only electrical system on your machine that can do that is the one that actuates the fuel pump solenoid. If the battery would become momentarily disconnected, I could see that causing the solenoid do disengage and causing...

Carbon Canister and evap. system on Gas RTV?

Not familiar with your SxS, but regarding the system, they are used on all fuel injected gas engines due to it being a pressurized system. The primary function is to direct and collect built up gas vapor, then spit it back into the engine to be combusted during specific times. It does prevent...

    Log skidding winch

I'll second that winching is hard on a machine. This is especially true if you need to anchor your tractor to a fixed object in order winch something out. Been there, done that, and got the broken parts postcard....

    Scheduled hose replacement?

The OEM hoses are very good. I would just continue to inspect regularly and replace as required. Two of my machines have hoses on them that are 20+ years old.

Safety Thing on L3710 Forward/Reverse Pedal?

The guys mean well, but they muddy the waters when they think our 20+ year old machines are built like their new ones. I'll spare you the trouble of crawling under the machine for the 10th time to find the hens teeth. There are technically two locations your neutral safety switch could be...
