I have a 2016 Kubota L2501 HST and my front tires are getting low on tread. The factory tires are Titan TracLoader 27x8.50-15 NHS R4 Industrial tires. I called my local Kubota dealer and they are really proud of those tires and the price reflects that (like $300 each!)! I see where Carlisle makes a Trac Chief R4 tire that looks pretty much the same based on pictures on the internet and is close to half the cost. Does anyone out there have opinions on either of these two tire choices, good or bad?

I have both brands on my machines at the moment and I feel both are a good quality tire. You can't go wrong with either brand.
I will say I was in the same pickle last year when the front R4's on my L3010 were starting to dry rot. It still had the original TracLoaders from 2000. I wound up buying another set of Tracloaders based on the fact of previous longevity.....

Last I checked the Titans can be purchased from a tire dealer for half that Kubota price.

Yep. Find a tire dealer that sells truck and equipment tires. These places are far cheaper than a tractor dealer.

Ask what the country of origin is on the tires that you are purchasing. Some tires from China are not worth the cost of mounting.

Carlisle tends to makes LD tires. Titan makes HD tires. I'd go for the higher plies and load rating for loader work. Softer tires are good for turf.

I tend to avoid Carlisle tires (made in China) as I had horrible experiences with them on trailers. I have Titans on my Kubota I agree with others and would check with a truck tire company. I have had great experience with McCarthy Tire here in Virginia where I had to replace a few tires on the ole Ford 2600. Pre pandemic I ran over a broken fence post and replaced one of the rear 12.4x28 tires and had it loaded for about $300.

Carlisle tire went out of business about 15 years ago and someone purchased the name and is manufacturing the tires. I don't know who it is, but I have seen some that are made in the USA and others are made in China. It just depends on the size of the tire and if it is economical to manufacturer in the USA.
