small one wire alternator replacement for original AC dyno

Has anyone put a small one wire alternator on a B700 or B7100 to replace the original alternator?
If so a part number and information would be a great help in finding one that will fit and give at
least forty amps.

Are you good at fabricating? If so, find a GM single wire alternator at your local auto parts store and make a bracket to get it to fit.

GM CS130 series might work , or DENSO unit. Be aware you'll probably have to change the pulley size, to get the correct RPMs on the alternator to function correctly.
I put the CS130 on my 4 big tractors, used 'idiot light' though.(simple). Not a fan of 'one wire' alternators due to their inherent design flaw.

The Denso is a good choice. I've been running one for a few years now and it's been great.....

If you stick with DENSO you get a quality product. Even my friend's 2011 Buick Lucerrne has a DENSO from factory instead of a Delco.

In terms of mounting, the B7100 WSM available for free on Kubotabooks.com contains instructions for installing a higher output alternator than the OEM dynamo. I cut the section from the WSM and attached it to this post
Just ignore the wiring part of the installation.
Consider installing a volt meter so you can see that the new alternator is keeping up with your load
