I did a little more research, and the B9200 & B2150 have dual stage clutches. No smaller machines do. Even the 2020 B2401 gear-drive Kubota makes does not have live or independent pto control. Bummer
Fellows, does anyone know if Kubota ever made a gear-drive B series that had either a two-stage clutch, or independent PTO control? Was curious becuase operating a 3-point snow blower on my B7200 gear is not fun. Thanks!
Whitetiger, thanks for the reply! I had a chance to examine further, and you are correct about placement of the collar. There is a groove in the axelshaft where they seat beneath the bevel gear.
Both bearings appear to be in good shape with very little play. I think what happened was as I...
Thanks Lugbolt, appreciate the tips! I wound up taking the housing off the axle. Then had to put it back on in order beat the lower half off with a mallet. Two issues I ran into and was wondering if this is normal.... The first is the top part of the assembly was badly rusted. I'm going to...
Question for those of you who have changed these bevel seals on L-Series Kubotas. Is it better to remove the gear case from the axle to do this? The FSM kind of hints at doing this. I know this is some-what of a common problem. One of mine is leaking on my L2900 to the point where its...
I had the the B7100 with Kubota snowblower. They aren't the best setup. First they are single-stage, and second, no matter how new the belt was, it would always slip when you get into wet, heavy snow. I'd recommend a three-point pto blower.
Dave,
Both my B7200 and B8200 manuals list it as a 200A fuseible link. I'm guessing they carried that over from the utility world where it's about the right size for a 200A K-link expulsion fuse.... Either that or something was lost in the Japanese to English transcription of the manual.
If the charge light is not coming on when the ignition key is turned on, the light may be bad, you have a bad ground or bad wiring, or the regulator is defective. The regulator is what controls the indicator lamp.
The 200A fuesabe link provides protection to various electrical systems on the...
The 10A fuse should be for your hazard light system. The 15A for the regulator circuit, fuel gauge, oil pressure light, taillights, headlights, horn, and working light.
I prefer the hoist method in my pic above. No need to block anything off. Plus, it's very easy to bring up or let down the engine. This is super helpful in lining up the dowl pins to get the two halvs back together. If you have a helper you may not heed it, but I flew solo on the clutch...
