Quick Coupler Replacement w/ minimal fluid loss

Thanks Hokie, I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if it was possible for the trans to puke it's guts back out through the block port. I could just envision it happening and me scrambling to plug it back up while saying every dirty word I know. That's usually how "simple" jobs go for me, haha.

Quick Coupler Replacement w/ minimal fluid loss

Fellows, The pioneer coupler on my L2900 to my loader has developed a leak (red arrow in pic). I replaced the o-ring inside the coupler and that didn't help. I'm just going to eliminate the coupler all together and screw the hose directly into the block. My goal is to minimize fluid loss...

I'll give that a shot, thanks!

    Loader Valve Squeal

Thanks Hokie. That's what I was thinking too. I'm not a hydraulic guy but my thinking is there is some type of debris in the neutral flow path. This causes a higher than normal pressure which in turn activates the relief valve.

    Loader Valve Squeal

Howdy Fellows, I have an odd issue going on and figured I'd toss it out here to see if anyone else ever encountered this. The Woods 165 loader joystick vale for my FEL has developed a squeal like it's hitting its max operating limits. The strange part is, it only does it in the neutral...

    Snow blower for B7200 HST

Yeah that does sound odd. Maybe it wasn't greased and wore funny. You should be able to replace just the tractor end from the u-joint on. I'd check for a casting number. You can also mic the joint dimensions and that will tell you what type of driveshaft you have.

    Snow blower for B7200 HST

Any standard issue 1 3/8'' 6-spline driveshaft around the correct length should work. The hard part is figuring out what the kubota snowblower drive unit uses. It's hard to tell from your pic, but it appears to be a smooth bore with keyway and through bolt. That's exactly how my Meteor is...

    Small PTO generator

I have one of the 7.8KW Northstar's mentioned earlier in this thread. It works very well. I can power most of the house with it. It does have a 12KW surge capacity. Bolts nicely to a TSC carry-all. As far as fuel consumption goes, I run it in the "economy" PTO setting. The last time I...

Rear-mount snowblower on B2401DT (gear drive): yay or nay?

As stated above, the pto will always spin when it's engaged and the clutch is released. Chipping is stationary PTO work. The gear drive has the advantage here (more efficient = less fuel consumption). It's the work that requires pto operation while moving that's the PITA w/ a gear drive...

Rear-mount snowblower on B2401DT (gear drive): yay or nay?

You are correct that the 2401 only has a single-stage clutch. This was just stupid on Kubota's part. They did themselves a big disservice by doing this. I can't imagine an independent pto clutch would have been that much more to engineer into the design. Anyway, 3-point snowblowing with a...

Kubota B7100 / 6100 Front PTO shaft measurements

If it's a keyed yoke, you're going to need to know what size U-Joint it uses. There are dozen's of PTO u-joint sizes out there. So I'd purchase the yoke first, figure out the joint type, the purchase the driveshaft to match. Most likely you'll need to swap out one of the ends for the kubota...

Kubota B7100 / 6100 Front PTO shaft measurements

I just googled your snowblower and it's different from the one I had. Yours appears to be a two stage designed for either rear-mount or front mount. However if it's front mount, you will need a mid-pto to power it. The setup above with the clutch is only designed for use with single-stage...

Kubota B7100 / 6100 Front PTO shaft measurements

The shaft length is something your're gonna have to measure up and determine yourself. My particular installation was on a B7100. The B7200 has a longer front frame so you won't have to cut the shaft as much as I did. Also, make sure your crank pulley is splined. I just looked at my B7200...

Kubota B7100 / 6100 Front PTO shaft measurements

The clutch is the only generic part of that entire assembly. It's an early 1970's Ford AC compressor clutch. The mount that adapts the clutch to the front frame is gong to be difficult to source. I was lucky enough to score one off ebay a few years ago. You could still try to give Messicks a...

    BXpanded Ripper Tooth

Thank You everyone for your replies. They are much appreciated. The 6 1/2 wouldn't be too much of an issue, but the 3 7/8 is more problematic. It still may be modified to squeeze it in. Thanks Again!

    BXpanded Ripper Tooth

Need your help fellows. I want a BXpanded ripper tooth for my Woods BH7500 backhoe that's on my L2900. They only make them for Kubota backhoes. I emailed them and they said they don't make anything to fit my 7500. I suspect I could modify one to fit my backhoe. If anyone has a BH65, BH70...

Generator 3 Point v Trailer Mount

I prefer the three-point version myself. By my circumstances are different. I need to get the generator in tight uneven places where a trailer mounted one would be a PITA. I also use this setup for remote power in the middle of the woods. Works great!

    B7200D

Having the exact same machine, I can tell you that it has enough lift to easily bring the front end off the ground, even with a 60LB winch hanging off the front end.

    Question about B series tractors

Truthfully I want it both ways. Which is why I'm seriously considering another machine with a HST! Comparing my 7200 to my neighbors 7100HST, I feel mine has more "grunt" power when log skidding. When I was on his machine, it felt like the HST needed to load up a bit before moving, thus...

    Question about B series tractors

Correct, but my primary use for the small tractor is a log hauler and prefer gear drive. I may end up buying another machine (HST) and set it up with a plow and 3-point blower.
