What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Moved my boat. And the hornets residing in it. Backed up to it as slow and quiet as can be. Then raised three point under the ball and drove away. Buddy said i was crazy. The bee cloud was large. So, do they stay in the boat or do they try to build a new nest in the shed?

    Baddddddd air

Yup, sitting in the bar across the street fron the forestry office could get you fighting fire. I was on many fires in my youth, put my name in at the office and was called as needed. Also was on the volunteer town fire department. Would rather put out forest fires.

    Baddddddd air

Being september it cant last much longer. A few years back i was in northern manitoba working the fires,it go so bad you could barely make out the road. A helicopter pilot lost his bearings and piled into a shoreline on a small lake. Was not a good scene,no aircraft searches only way was on...

    Tire explosions

Low tires run at highway speed will burn inside. Have seen a few burned inside over the years. Something that shouldnt be taken lightly. Buddy's wife ran too long on a low tire and it blew.it was full of soot.

Fascia repair project: how should it have been done and where do I go from here?

Any ridge venting i have seen has wire mesh to keep rodents out. Some is fine enough to keep out larger flying insects like wasps and hornets. You have quite a dilemma there.

    L175 hard to start

My l1501 needs a little glow even in warm days. It energizes glow plugs while cranking, but it cranks too long for my liking. I give 20-30 seconds of glow so it doesent crank so long. I will add, it fired up way faster when i put a new battery in.

    Driveway Alarms

This is good,i have been tossing around the driveway alarm too. Infra red would be my preference. If a bear saunters up my driveway i want to know. Had a vehicle stop in my driveway at midnight a couple weeks ago,sat there for quite some time, like they knew the motion light would come on if...

Wonder if he has PTO problems?

I was a helitorch mixer for a couple seasons. Launching and landing the torch required me to be within 6 to 8 feet of the helicopter when it took off or landed. For that pilot to place the saw on the ground and fly backwards and land with a tether is a skill not many can master. That guy does it...

    starts when release starter key

Sounds like a sticky fuel cutoff solenoid. Im guessing that its a 3 wire solenoid,1 ground,1 hot while key is on and 1 engages with the starter. Testing the wires will tell all.

    New Saw

I worked in a place that sold echo 20-25 years ago, same supplier turned us on to optimol. Sold lots, use it myself for many years. Synthetic 2 cycle oil mixed at 100:1.dont like using it on really hot days though. Great in the frosty months.

    New Saw

No offence, Bud but thats a drink mixer by some peoples standards. I personally would never go less than 50 cc's. That being said, tune up the chain, couple strokes off the rakers and you will have to hold it up instead of pushing it down.two stroke break in is about 2 seconds after you squeeze...

    Amazing STOL

Get enough wind, could fly backwards. Wish i had a better view of the river, float planes are taking off and landing all day long. Some very skilled pilots to land in 10 feet.

    Welding Helmet Recommendations

Most have the grind feature. My biggest issue is seeing what im doing. Found a little clip on light that fit my stinger nicely. Illuminates the weld zone very well. It just doesent last a long time. For a 5 dollar cliplight im satisfied. Im on my 4th welding helmet in 25 years. My el cheapo 89...

    "Hey Man...."

Ray, i know a very well off gentleman, helped him with his aircraft a few times, fixed his truck when gm couldnt. Or wouldnt under warranty. Usually for free or very little which insulted him to no end. Im good friends with his daughter and son in law. Flew a few of us to his nice fishing lodge...

    Welding Helmet Recommendations

I just bought a new welding helmet, the headgear is garbage. So try it before you buy it. Going to see if my old headgear fits the new helmet. After a couple flip up/down it either gets loose or tightens. So wont stay up or when you tip it down it falls off me head. And it squeaks.

    "Hey Man...."

I do enjoy helping people out. If i could work for free fixing cars for those that couldnt afford it i would. Problem is, it would only be a matter of minutes before someone would take advantage of my kindness. I was installing remote starters for a dealer years ago. Discovered they were...

    "Hey Man...."

Just got a text today, buddy's son wanted to borrow my transmission jack. I happen to be using it and the last time he borrowed something it wasnt returned as promised. Left me in a spot. No tools loaned from here on out. Neighbour dragged his 15 year old looks like new tiller over because it...

Fixed. Power loss, stumble, bad fuel delivery.

Great you figured it out. Paint may be from a metal jerry can. As far as the gaping hole,a piece of sheet metal and a sheet of rubber and a handful of screws. Or riv-nuts.

    Being silly

I had my nephew's dirt bike here for a summer. Didnt run quite right. Crankcase was loaded up and a few good runs with premium and sea foam really woke it up. His riding style didnt involve the powerband,so he had no clue that it was the best part of riding a 2 stroke. Well i have a few acres...
