Yes, front ends from atv's would work. Thinking golf carts, but i havent seen any with brakes on the front. I have a 2wd polaris atv in my junk pile, perfect candidate.

    I just don't understand

Im on a septic system as well. From tank to field was some no-corrode pipe. Its like tar paper rolled up. Had collapsed. Then there was the u-pipe in the tank that was cast in concrete that deteriorated. Finally got my system operating correctly. Other than cast pipe to house that now needs...

    I just don't understand

Every now and then i let hot water run a long time. I redid my kitchen and the pipes were 75% clogged. Keep in mind, those little packets that dissolve in the dishwasher and warshing machine leave residue in pipes. Was told this by a plumber/friend. These problems werent there 6-7 years ago. Is...

seeking water tight seal for sliding Tube in tube ideas

Waterproof? Dunno. Cameras would be the ticket. A security camera system, inverter to run display and you got every corner covered. Just need reversible image for the rears.

seeking water tight seal for sliding Tube in tube ideas

Party pooper here, single rod wont work,it will fall. Unless you bracket it inside to control it. How is window going to work? Have to go through glass or window regulator. The linear actuator would work. Would need a power mirror also-as mirror moves so does the perspective.wow, i used an odd...

Need help on how to lube PTO cable on L3800 HST

The end with a threaded piece, that you can slip a piece of air hose or fuel line over, clamp a hose on the outer shield. Open end of hose gets a old wheel valve stem ground down to fit into hose and clamped. Pull core out and add some good penetrating oil. Put core in and add a little air. If...

Does this look right to you?

Cut off threads that are sticking out and a tack weld to keep nut in place. Never really found a problem with the nuts that way. All big loaders use a bolt on cutting edge. Or as you prefer, a welded on one.

    Generator Shed

I agree with sheepfarmer, gensets make a lot of heat. Ventilation is critical. Also,i see no provision for the power cable. One last thing, although well built,i guess if any repairs to chimney were necessary, could gain access through either side. Attatched to house,i guess it would be best...

    Lake traffic undercutting retaining wall

Geotextile or filter cloth. A bag of sorts, geo on base, a layer of rock then geo rolled over and more rock to cover the geo. the filter cloth will keep the silt from washing out. There a few types, one is a woven type, tough for under roads, the other is a mat, that is thicker and filters...

    Subaru Outback Timing Belt

If you are in there, why wouldnt you do the seals? Did a caravan 3.0 and boss said no seals. 3 months later came back for seals and another belt. Did another one, boss said no pump. Same thing. Came back. Frustrated me to no end, do it once, do it right.

    Subaru Outback Timing Belt

Budgeting for repairs/maintenance should be 100/month. That should cover everything after it comes off warranty. Exceeding that, time to find a better vehicle. From my experience most cars dont need that much over the lifespan of the car. After 10 years, there isnt much for trade in value...

    Subaru Outback Timing Belt

Timing belts have been around for years, most have clearance for valve to piston in the event of a belt failure. Could be your shop is doing their due dilligence by reccomending replacement. Kind of like a heads up long before something hits the fan.

    Subaru Outback Timing Belt

At 85 k i wouldnt do it. 100, you bet. If you are curious, see if you can remove the belt cover enough to see it. The change it now telltale is cracks. No cracks, no replacement. The timing kits now have all related parts to prevent timing belt premature failure, including seals. Full set of...

Distributing "playground" wood chips with tractors

If the chips are smaller than the gaps in the landscape rake, im betting you will Have the most success with that. May have to try it at different angles. Good drivers should have no problens spreading it. May be a couple loads before you get the chain settings figured out. They set the chains...
