    What type of Diesel fuel?

Guess you've gotten about 12-15 hours on the clock? Any diesel at a service station will do unless you want off road. Then be sure they sell plenty of it. I only bought off road ONE TIME and had a problem with it. Used to have diesel cars and wanted on-road in case I needed to refuel one of...

    What type of motor oil?

Yet, someone else reported that all the Kubota oils are CJ-4.

    What type of motor oil?

In about 7 hours, I'll be changing out the breakin oil for M1 0w30 ESP, which is Euro rated C3. Had it in the JD 2025R when I traded it in and plan to change the Isuzu's oil to it (from its 5w30 Castrol VW504 rated oil) this year.

Can't remove propshaft from gearhead on rotary cutter.....ideas?

Reminder to self: squirt some WD-40 there on mine because it sat down below in the rain because I had to remove the QH and leave the brush hog sitting there to bring the tractor up to get the 3ph repaired from the right side lift arm coming off due to pin loss at end of shaft.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

That's one reason why I like rechargables: don't leak. I just leave my 2 AA ones in the pump.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

The Tera pump I have seems to be running forever on 2 AA rechargable cells. May be like my toothbrush which seems to run a year or more on a single rechargable AA.

anybody find a brake on notifier?

Yeah, I'd like to see the pictures of what you're talking about because I bet the B2601 is the same. Good practice is to hit the brakes every time you get onto the tractor or want to go. The lock will pop off.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Put the right rear lift arm back onto the shaft and put another pin on. Zip tied that pin as well as the left side and even the one for the top pin. Three of the pins on what is called a turnbuckle on JDs were missed securement pins. Put cotter pins in them instead of those slide-off pins...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Lost a pin holding the right side lift arm on the tractor. The lift arm came off and 3ph would not raise because arm was between pin it goes on and the metal above. Had to remove the QH and all to get the brush hog free because could not lower enough to get the top fork free. Easier to remove...

    Delivery Day!!!

I'd recommend looking at Pat's lift arm ends and longer top link instead of a QH: no vertical bars of the QH in the way of getting at the PTO. Sounds as though your extendable arms are working okay if you got the RC on fairly easily.

    Delivery Day!!!

Good going. Ugh! Trying to connect that RC with it on the ground will be a beastly job. I park mine on concrete with a 2x6 dolly underneath the front. Have 3 castors underneath each side.

The right way to engage pto

My first tractor did not have enough hp to engage the brush hog at idle. Had to rev it a bit. The PTO on it was very abrupt. This with the brush hog and not much flywheel on the MacKissic chipper/shredder likely caused its driveshaft Ujoint to fail at 9 years and 660 hours.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

I'm doing 2 gallons at a time, approximately every 5 hours. Just sit it beside the treadle pedal and insert the Tera pump and poke it into the fuel tank inlet. It auto shuts off if the tank will not take all the 2 gallons.

    BX starting procedure question

On all 3 JDs and the B2601 in cold weather, I ran the hand throttle up about half way. Throttled back soon as the shuddering evened out. However, the B2601 does not shudder. Our 1973 and 1983 Benzes had to be started cold at about 1/2 throttle. You don't let the rpm go much above normal idle...

    Coolant

Normal for the radiator to be completely full. I only ever remove the cap for coolant change. My last JD (a 2025R) had a tiny leak like this. I never could find where it was leaking. Just had to makeup every so often into the overflow jug.

HST Owners : On the gas , but having to hit the brake..?

Get something besides an L25. Brakes are on the wrong side. Machine obviously was designed for gear work and HST added later.

Assessing hydraulic transmission on used BX25D

Don't think that stall test works. In "H" on any of the 4 tractors I've had, the HST bleeds off internally if stressed much at all. H is for travelling on level ground pretty much. The treadle pedal just may not be adjusted to be in neutral when released. Also, in H none of my 4 tractors...

Bobcat box blade? Or Titan or Southern?

I'm not sure what you can do bad on a box blade, maybe make it lighter? It's not like a rotating equipment type 3ph thing. The thing mainly works on weight. Could short change in scarifier area maybe? I'd look at the posted weight and decide. My Woods 5 footer is 518 #.

    Kubota B, L, etc. oil

I've stopped carb problems many times with Seafoam. Bought some and put it into the Isuzu's tank now.
