    diesel oil

Many thanks for the advise. For sure 5w40 is easier to get and can even find it in a full synthetic. Price is very reasonable if on sale.

    diesel oil

During the winter I have been using 10w30 diesel and have never had an issue. What I'm finding is that 10w30 is getting more difficult to find. Or am I missing something when it talks about oil class for my B2601. Manual states "not to use CJ-4" and a lot of the oils I've been looking at have a...

    Plugging in your tractor

I keep mine in a temporary shelter for winter, so its out of the wind. Usually plug it in for an hour if its -10 or below. Just remember to let everything warm up before you start working it.

    Need some help...fellow orange heads

I would think if you drained all the fluid then you should give it time to circulate to remove all the trapped air. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Mower deck shield raising and lowering

Don't have a picture of it. Drill a hole in the outside edge about a 1/2" in and large enough for the hook of the bungee to fit easily.

Mower deck shield raising and lowering

All I do with my mowers is drill a small hole at the end for the bungee cord hook to fit in. Raise and lower as required. I keep the shield for that one chance that I might pick up a rock.

Advice on Plowing Snow with Chains or 4x4

Just make sure you have enough space for chains. A lot of models require spacers to use chains.

    My BX2750D snowblower modification

The issue I see is the wheels have about the same surface contact as your skies. If the skies are digging in then why wouldn't the new wheels? On my BX2755HD the skies are mounted on the sides and are much larger. Not perfect but I think due to location are size they would work better for you...

    B2601 loader removal

Yup. Been there and done that. Pictures from SLAUSO looks just like my hood. Going to touch up the scratches to prevent rust and replace the Kubota decal. When I first saw what I did my initial thought was replace the hood. Checked the price and that's not going to happen any time soon. Just...

How many hours are too many on new tractor?

I purchased my used as new B2601 with 8 hrs on it. Previous owner obviously didn't use it very much in the 12 months of ownership. 15 seems high for new.

    BX RUNNING HOT...Or Not?

There never was an overheating issue as it was the gauge giving a false reading. That's what the post was about.

    B2301 transmission filter change

Or look up the video of how you use a shop vac to create a vacuum and you will loose next to nothing. Did this trick and worked perfect.

When the exhaust thows dark smoke under load, Injectors?

What do you have for a Bolens? Sold my H1502 to a buddy with a 3 point blower when I bought the B2601. I loved my little Bolens but I truly love my Kubota now that I have it.

Does this look bent to you?

It would help everyone if we knew what machine we were looking at. Most likely it's bent but try looking on the Kubota parts lookup. Maybe it's supposed to be that way.

    Finish mower bent wheel spindles

You could try and straighten them out but in my experience it will be difficult to get them perfect. If that's how the finisher was used for cutting no wonder it bent. That's a lot of force being put on the spindle vertical shaft.

    B2150 engine won't turn over

Sounds to me that the starter may be at fault. When you get a meter that will tell you if its getting power. Let the group know what you find. Good luck.

    60” mower guard removal?

I can see why you would remove the belt guards, gets clogged with grass. But why would you remove the side discharge chute? What I did on my old mower and will do to my new zero turn is drill a small hole in the guard. Then I hold it up if needed with a bungy cord. Won't take the chance of...
