Why wouldn't you change the hydro oil. For a hundred bucks all your fluids are new. The manual says no but think of all the crap that's floating around from assembly. Small price to pay to ensure all is good.
Getting close to the 50 hr service on a b2601. I spoke to the local dealer and if they do the service only the hydro filter is changed. If customer is doing it then the parts counter recommends that the fluid also be replaced. I totally agree with them. Especially the first service. Why would...
The way I see it you should get battery voltage at one terminal of your starter. The 12v wire on the starter should have a smaller wire that feeds your ignition switch. If you don't have 12vdv at the starter there's where you start your troubleshooting.
That's why I'm looking for advise. I don't plan on having rops fully up and if I mount to top of grill guard it should light my way. Before I drill anything I'll temporarily mount and try if out.
Need to add some extra lighting for next winter and was looking at installing inside the grill guard. This is primarily for seeing with a front mount blower. Any reason not to ?
Also if you compare the two engine specs you will see that the bx series operates at a higher rpm to achieve similar hp. This was one of the factors that made my decision to buy a b series tractor.
Looking at purchasing a front blower for a b2601 but it's on a b2920. Will see if I can adapt it to work but curious if anyone has? Or can individual parts be purchased for a quick hitch?
Purchased a new B2601 and before next winter am going to install a front blower. What quick hitch part number and blower has anyone used. Just watched a video and supposedly the B2791A will fit and only have to shorten the mid drive shaft. Thanks.:D
