    Skidding trees with backhoe attached

I hooked a chain to a hook (now a proper hitch mount) - it's low enough it did not interfere with the back hoe. The picture shows a stump being hauled out of a hole - the tree was hauled away earlier the same way. (Edit added the picture)

    Cutting metal...what are my options?

I recently had to cut a piece of 6" angle 1/2" thick. I struggled with a 14" chop saw using a generic abrasive wheel. Tried a Makita brand wheel and it went MUCH better. Still a bit of a challenge but the wheel made all the difference.

    hitch reciever on box scraper

I was planning on building small carry-all when I came accross a hitch mount one for less than I could buy the material. Now I admit it's a little bit of overkill on a BX25 but it's easy on off and I can use it on the truck when needed.

Wouldn't have thought that unit was repairable - it's great to see it all happen.

    Small Engine Advice please

I am draining the oil and will try a refill. If that doesn't work I gather unsticking an oil ring means a replacing it. No shortcuts there I guess.

    Small Engine Advice please

bearbait I haven't been using the shut off and know I should. I had the problem you speak of with a generator. I will try what you suggest. Thanks.

    Small Engine Advice please

I have a Honda GX 31 on Mantis tiller that runs oil out the carb as fast as it's filled. Can't be good I am guessing. Question is how not good? Fixable or trash? Has very few hours on it. Thanks

    Wheel Spacers

When I inquired on OTT about useful adds to my new BX wheel spacers came up very early. I do believe they have already saved my bacon when I was loading my truck on what I thought was a pretty minor slope. All I can say is thanks (Hokie) as I am pretty sure I would have been over without them...

    Tire Inflation

BX25D manual says 17 psi rear 22 psi front. Did a check (about a year too late) to find the fronts are @32; rears @24. This is from the dealer (mind you the same dealer that overfilled the oil, but I digress). Checked with two gauges just in case and both are within a pound or so first thing in...

    The bedframe backhoe dolly

Thanks for the kind comments. I learn a lot on this site so hopefully this gives (for better or worse) a little back.

    The bedframe backhoe dolly

I had asked if an old bedframe was strong enough for backhoe dolly and concluded probably not. But having found some 1/2" x 5" skid plate in my supply I decided to give it a try on the theory the plate would hold the wieght; the frame just ties it together. I added plywood to the top to recess...

    Box Blade for my BX25d

Thanks I will have a look under the fender tomorrow. Didn't know about that. Will also give the rpm a raise.

    Box Blade for my BX25d

I think Grouse Feathers pretty much nailed the control issues I was talking about. Yes I can feather the BB down fine, but as the BX has a short wheel base a little change in front means a change is required in back to keep things level. Getting the BB up in quick, small increments seems to tax...

    Box Blade for my BX25d

I looked at a picture of the BB2048 and it looks the spitting images to what I have. I am new at box bladeing but can say after about 10 hours the BX25 handled it very well from a pulling point of view. I am finding the height adjustment a little tricky - something I have heard elsewhere is an...
