    Yard Help!!

Box blade was the first implement I bought and have done a lot with it. I don't think you would regret having it. Can't speak to the york rake.

    BX1880 or BX2380?

Re: BC 1880 or 2380? Maybe a silly question but if the 2380 has bigger tires would not the size and additional weight provide a little more useable traction?

    My take on Pallet Folks

Thanks yooper. Good advice. Hopefully the fact the tractor hydro limits on the bx25 is pretty low, and a little care on my part will save it. But, if it breaks I will be wiser for it. I WILL fess up if it breaks!

    My take on Pallet Folks

Decided pallet forks would be a usefull add. A set that can be had for about $100 in the US was $450 loonies here so I decided to try a build. Nothing really unique but I had the material and got to practice my welding. The carry all pops off when I just want the forks.

    Implement help

Pricing for stuff in Canada is brutal. I did find a very lightly used 48" box blade for $ 550 delivered. It has been a great purchase for building and maintaining a road and I can see it would be great for landscaping.

    Grease, Whats is everyone using?

I recall lots of discussion in the past on grease compatibility or the lack thereof. Still an issue these days? If so, anyone know the rules?

Renting A Chainsaw Doesn't Make You A Logger

I gather logging has among the highest mortality rates of all occupations - easy to see why (although most of this is just stupidity).

    Boy do I feel stupid.....

It 's threads like this that I love about this site. When I had the 50 hrs done (had a dealer rep do it as this is my first tractor and I wanted to learn). When HST fluid came up I said change it (not sure why - I think I read it was recommended somewhere:rolleyes:). I found out the hard way...

    Hydraulic Top Link

Good to know, thanks. Seems odd the Kubota supplied version doesn't fit one of their popular tractors. Go figure.

What kind of chainsaw you have?

I admit I hadn't put a new plug in (did clean up the old one) but that is a good suggestion. Will do it. Andy

    Hydraulic Top Link

Thank you MtnViewRanch and RCW. Add the controls and cylinder, tie into the BH hydraulics and it's good to go if I read that right. Appreciate the advice. Andy

    Hydraulic Top Link

Was this a stupid question? Go ahead - tell me it's so - I can take it. It's unusual to get 0 responses.

What kind of chainsaw you have?

First from long ago was a 16' McCulloch. Works fine with a good blade but can be a bugger to get going again after it's been used then shut off. Stihl MS250 my go to. Ryobi 40v 14" - this is really handy for quick cuts to smaller branches - like when I am chipping and need to trim to fit.

    Hydraulic Top Link

I was reading how much some folks like having a hydraulic top link for a variety of 3pt attachments. I had kind of decided good idea but I am not there just yet. It then occured to me the BX25d has rear hydraulics set up for the back hoe. So, is it an easy add given the plumbing is already there?

    Landscape Rake

Buffalo - neat idea on the turning the rake around. Missouribound - pine needle rake may have been the ticket. I was concerned how it would handle the douglas fire needles (which, unlike the pine needles I am aware or, are very small and fine) Hence the decision to try the bigger blower...
