My take on a Back Hoe Trailer Hitch

Redlands I kind of like that idea. I WAS thinking you meant something like the rippers you see for sale - but a small one to aid in the excavation might be just the ticket. Thanks for the idea. Andy

My take on a Back Hoe Trailer Hitch

Redlands - Not sure that little clevis mount is up to a ripper (it IS a grade 8 from Kens Bolt on hooks but...) Thanks Lil Foot. Look forward to it. tarmstong - Porosity is my welding bain. Been reading on 22 potential causes and am now trying to sort it out.

My take on a Back Hoe Trailer Hitch

I wanted something that would be easy on/off, would give me some mounting options for things like a carry all and not interfere with back hoe. Attached pictures of what I came up with. Not sure I would want to haul anything heavy with it but it will work fine for a small wagon and the like. I...

    BX25D Fuse Block

Yes I heard about the plug by the backhoe. I would like to put in a secondary fuse panel to accommodate other additions running if off a relay to the main panel. Thats what drove my question about what looks to be a relay plug-in socket under the fuses. Guesses anyone?

    BX25D Fuse Block

I was looking at the fuse block to tie in my ROPS lighting and I noticed what looks (to me - a rookie) to be a relay socket. Can someone advise what in fact it is and what it is for? Thanks

New here & don't like it

Yup, it's an addiction and gets worse, day by day. First the Rops lights, then the bucket attachments, box blade, hitches, winches....now it's looking at quick attaches, Piranha bars, hydraulic top links, tire fills... But boy, I am having a ball. Great site to feed the beast.

    Harbor Freight tools....

I needed one of these guys before Fein's patent expired and paid a horrific price for it. That said, these units (and now the much cheaper knock offs) do things that nothing else will do - I have used it a LOT.

Recommend me a new grease gun

I took it from a comment elsewhere the treddle was a problem (haven't greased it yet - soon). So that still begs the question - are there other zerks beyond the FEL and BH I need to find?

    Grease Cleanup

Got some mean green, so that and the WD40 seems like what I will be doing. Interesting point on the seals -hadn't thought about that. So the just enough approach seems like the best course (which also minimizes the clean up). Thanks all.

    Grease Cleanup

I kind of wondered of WD40 or brake cleaner might ease the clean up but wondered if might degrade the grease benefits if it got in the "joint". I suppose a little discretion on the amount used is in order.
