Another Manufacturer that uses Kubota engines

Gotta comment on the operator. Guess hi-viz in those those days wasn't necessarily reflective, but the operator's got the hard hat, gloves and safety shoes. White's not bad for visibility I s'pose. Tool pouch comes standard with the tractor?

    front PTO for B6100

Thanks, I'll try that. I've just noticed that the WSM says the pump is 35 l/min, but 2 different versions of the operators manual say 27.5 l/min, and according to a parts manual there was a change in pump at s/n 100541 so that might explain the difference in flow between WSM and ops manual.

    front PTO for B6100

I was going to work out the difference in effective volume when closed and when extended of one of the lift cylinders then time how long it would take to stroke it at rated speed. Double the volume because there's 2 cylinders. Do it under load, I was thinking it would give at least an idea if...

    front PTO for B6100

:o Ah well I guess that's why I'm still an apprentice... ;) Thanks for stepping in. I wasn't trying to describe a two stage pump so I'm glad you've clarified it for any readers. I didn't know about the joystick valve having anti-reverse feedback so that's very useful to know thanks! I'm...

    Nearly rolled - Stay safe

Thanks for telling us. Kennyd4110 asked about rear ballast. A word of warning for those who use a rear grader blade as ballast. I got complacent and got a sharp reminder that it's OK as ballast - as long as it's not touching the ground  . I was repairing a track and had a bucket-load...

    Bucket Mirror?

I'm looking forward to hearing how it works for you. Great project to share with us. If it's the sort of camera/display with parking rectangles, it could be very useful aid for judging distances.

    M7500Dt bleeding

Old Tractors - did you get the problem solved -are you able to bleed the system and get the tractor started without dragging it down the road? If so what was the issue or what did you do to fix it?

    Bucket Mirror?

Repurpose a rear view camera setup? Or the sort people put in horse trailers. The small camera should be small enough that it wouldn't be too hard to protect it when mounted on the bucket top edge say, and it has a good field of view. Anyone already tried this?

    M7500Dt bleeding

When you say "very little up top" I'm assuming you've loosened all the lines where they attach to the injectors and checked whether fuel is coming out?

Should definitely be a press fit (as in it should be a tight enough fit inside the crank that it won't turn in the crank). Usually you can install these with light tapping with a hammer. You probably know this anyway: make sure it's aligned dead centre and straight, and you have something to...

    L5030 injector pump leak

CWitherington and Stob, both these areas (jet start cock and delivery valve holder) are what I went through to stop the leak on my pump. Initially I was convinced it was the jet start cock, and replaced that. Didn't work, got the whole area really clean and dried it off with air, started...

    Compression Testing

Great info thanks CobraTom and Wolfie. I had no idea that anyone offered essentially the same engine in IDI and DI variants - I'm living 'n learning.

    Compression Testing

CobraTom - that's useful, is that a general rule for all diesels of this sort of size (small industrial/agricultural/automotive) or just Kubota diesel engines?

Injector (nozzle holder nut) thread size?

Hi, can anyone tell me the thread diameter and pitch (circled in the image below), to save me pulling one of my injectors prematurely? I need to find or make a compression test adapter to fit the injector hole in my M4500DT - the injectors (15721-53020) are same as many other models apparently...

    Filters question

No I don't use them, but consider this: - whether the kit contains genuine Baldwin. See http://www.baldwinfilter.com/productsgenuineBaldwin.html. - whether the kit supplier is choosing the filters Baldwin recommends for your Kubota. Often 3rd party crossover lists indicate nothing more than...
