Thermo-King refrigeration units, Generac diesel standby generators as well. I'm sure there are more.

Kubota has a specialty engine division that does nothing but build engines for non-Kubota applications.

Ventrac used to be Steiner. They have been around a long time. Expensive. The Mrs liked the articulated steering. We priced the options she wanted $40k+. It had a Kubotas engine.

Bobcat, takeuchi, generac/ magnum, genie, telehandler, grass hopper, couple different pump manufacturers, and doosan just off the top of my head.

A few of the construction equipment manufacturers like bobcat, generac, and takeuchi offer Mitsubishi or Kubota diesels.

Jacobsen also does.

Sadly Doosan / Bobcat has gone away from Kubota as an engine supplier, they are now using an in house engine.

Diesel engines are how Kubota Tractor corporation got started with lawn & garden equipment. KEA was building & selling lots of engines, and they are great engines. Some "moron" (not my words..) at KTC said "hey let's build a lawn mower with a small diesel engine and see if it sells."

........the rest, as they say, is history.

From the above link, here's the 1970 Kubota "dream" tractor.

In 1970, the year that Kubota reached its 80th anniversary, the Japan World Exposition was held for 6 months starting in March at Senrikyuryo, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. The company’s theme for its dedicated Kubota Pavilion was “Abundant Crops.”
The “Dream Tractor” which was exhibited in the pavilion was a concentration of the most sophisticated technologies, and the excellent functionality, comfort and easy usability that it offered are still being put to use in products today.
In addition, 1970 was also the year that the Shiga Branch Plant of the Vinyl Pipe plant was established in Kose-cho, Koka-gun, Shiga Prefecture, for the production of FRP bathtubs and septic tanks. The “Kubota Trane Co., Ltd.” was also established this year, in a joint venture with the specialized air conditioning manufacturer Trane Inc. from the United States.

Gotta comment on the operator. Guess hi-viz in those those days wasn't necessarily reflective, but the operator's got the hard hat, gloves and safety shoes. White's not bad for visibility I s'pose. Tool pouch comes standard with the tractor?
