    Parts Lists/Diagrams Online

Hi Bruce, I can't find any such tab, there is a "parts list" tab but it's pretty limited. Can you provide a bit more info on how to get the full parts manual? Thanks!

    Fish Lifes B6100 Restoration

Good to hear :D I had a look at the one from Torch's link - it has surprisingly good images. I reckon the more manuals, the better (usually) :)

    Fish Lifes B6100 Restoration

I've been enjoying reading your thread, keep up the good work and progress reports :-) I had a quick search of your thread and couldn't figure out if you've got a workshop service manual. If you don't have one, get one! Honestly, best investment you could make.

Weird... S2200 injection pump on M4500DT S2600 engine?

Thanks! Just to satisfy my curiosity, I assume more diesel is injected to create the extra torque for the S2600 (compared to a S2200), but what is the physical difference in the fuel injection system that enables this? (Edit: probably irrelevant by now but the other numbers on the pump data...

Weird... S2200 injection pump on M4500DT S2600 engine?

Help! This tractor is supposed to have a S2600 engine, and on the engine block beside the injection pump is the serial number "S2600-A-1599". So far, so good. HOWEVER the data plate on the pump itself reads "ND-PFR6M55/1 ND076" and "S2200". Also, the dipstick is embossed "S2200". Can anyone...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

True. I had to get the good weather and my availability lined up (I don't have all-weather facilities) and this took so long I decided to wait a couple of extra weeks till my ex-diesel mechanic brother visited. It was great fun doing it with him. We fixed the delivery valve holder leak did the...

Quick question - the dreaded delivery valve holder leak - Bosch K-type injector pump

Finally got this done. Funny thing - torqued the leaking delivery valve holders - the leak stopped on one, but got a lot worse on the other. And on one that hadn't been leaking, started leaking (just experimenting...). Got new copper washers ("Gasket, deliv valve 15221-51240” approx 0.48mm...

    M4500 flywheel TDC timing mark

Thanks everyone... finally found it... obscured under the loader RH mounting plate... but right where the manual said it would be :o I'd looked under the plate at the clutch housing, but didn't realise the plate also obscured this vital part of the flywheel housing :D

    Longevity of Kubota hour meters.

The cable-driven mechanical tach/hourmeter on my late 1970s M4500DT has just clicked over 5000 hours :D My brother had it for quite a few years before me and didn't have any problems with it. It seems to be accurate. Like anything else reliability depends on the user - the tractor hasn't...

    b6100 D650 Compression Check

The compression test reading is affected by the internal volume of the adapter and hose to the gauge. A bigger diameter or longer hose will reduce the reading. So an accurate reading depends on how much your test equipment mimics the official Kubota gear. Agreed, compression you've got...

    M7060 something went SNAP!

2 thoughts: First: If the dealer says whatever it was broke because of abnormal forces on the wheel/axle, would you be happy to share with us what the tractor and you were doing in the seconds leading up to the snap to cause those abnormal forces? For example if the rear wheel was jammed in a...

Quick question - the dreaded delivery valve holder leak - Bosch K-type injector pump

I'll get in touch with you Wolfman if I run into problems with the gasket. I see why the grease isn't a good idea, I didn't read your cleaning suggestion first time carefully enough - yes extra flushing required. Thepumpguysc I'll try tightening the holders, not loosening them, to start...

Quick question - the dreaded delivery valve holder leak - Bosch K-type injector pump

Thanks people, this is exactly the sort of info. I was looking for. I'll try the tightening route, then if that doesn't work will replace the copper gasket. Good point about potential for dirt to fall in when removing the holder, I guess same could apply to paint flakes - looks like that whole...

Quick question - the dreaded delivery valve holder leak - Bosch K-type injector pump

No. 4 holder is weeping (has been for months if not years - previous owner mentioned it), and I suspect no. 3 is just starting to as well - see photo. From the numerous threads on the subject I've decided to fix it myself (it's been wonderful reading the contributions of people on this forum...

How to get lower link pin off M4500?

Hi Wolfman, I hadn't heard of teflon liquid pipe dope being used like that. Would you also use it on bolt threads that are exposed to a corrosive environment? I'm thinking of bolts under my quad bike that are exposed to cattle manure.

How to get lower link pin off M4500?

Getting a better description of what can't be seen was a huge help, and drives the options for solving the problem. A couple of weeks ago I tried adjusting the front axle pivot preload (it had nowhere near the specified preload) and made 1 mistake and possibly a second despite reading the...
