First real farming with the new tractor

In that third picture is your brother baling the next windrow over for where you are cutting? Or was that a new starting point for the day, or does that tedder allow that fast of drying up there?:D

    L3800 oil change

Frank, you drained all the oil and added the correct amount. With your tractor on level ground, why not take a file scratch a mark where the oil level is at. Then you have a FULL mark you know is correct?

About to pull the trigger BX 2380

Having a tractor without a loader is like have a toothbrush without toothpaste! You don't get much done.

    Jacking Points for Kubota L245

Standing at the back of your tractor, in the center where the draw bar attaches down low, you can jack it up there. Then put your stands out near the axle hub for safety, but leave the jack in place in the center. Just let the jack down to the stands for stability. All three items remain in...

I have to set some 8X8 posts

Setting wood in concrete, I would drive some 20p nails or larger into the post on each side to help anchor it. After the post is set, be sure the top of the concrete comes up a couple of inches at the post and tapers to ground level to shed water.

    Dealer prices too high?

Needed a fuel element, 15521-43160 Kubota part number. Looked it up online at Coleman Implement. $3.48 but I need it now and don't want to drive. Call local O'Reilly Auto and ask them. "Need a fuel filter for a Kubota L3250 tractor", I say. They want to know what year. I say, "Will it help...

    My L2350 is dead...

I think it's already been mentioned, get a tester. You need to know where there is power and where there is none to isolate a particular component not working. Or else you start buying replacement parts in frustration. But which one do you buy first? Oh, maybe it's just a wire!:D

    Steering Wheel Position

When I bought my L305 it had two spinners on it! How do you really use a tractor with two? Wouldn't your wrist be smacking one just about every sharp turn?

    L285 Engine Stuck!!

You could order a gasket set from an aftermarket supplier, but then when you're ready to use them they may all be there, or some of them there, or some not cut just right. Then you're back on the hold pattern until you get the correct part. Probably best to get them from the dealer. JMO...

    L4701 Fan belt slipping

Too many time you have to go get your borrowed item back so YOU can use it!!! Very seldom do things get returned in good time and condition. I did loan a soil puleriuzer to Daren Todd. He came up 350 mile to get it, replaced bearings and returned it...and at that time had only met him on...

    subsoiler on L1500DT

I think pulling a sub-soiler with an L1500 is being optimistic unless your in sandy material. Hard clay will stop that tool at a shallow depth with that HP and weight of machine. It takes a lot of both to pull a sub-soiler effectively!

    Trenching

I don't think you're going to pull a 3" line 2 1/2' into the ground with a sub-soiler... unless you have a D8. In that case renting a trencher might be about the same expense as fuel! A sub-soiler will break up the soil to make it easier to dig though. On this type of project you can try to...

    Stump rot

Drill some 1" holes in the stump. Fill the holes with used motor oil or diesel every change you get. After a couple of month of soaking put a bag of charcoal briquets on it and use you leaf blower as a forge.

    Kubota BX23 backhoe bucket rebuild

Ryan, nice work. It looks like your neighbor could wreck an anvil! But then maybe that's just a light weight bucket. Better shape up those teeth with some hard surfacing rod so he doesn't have to pound so hard when digging. You're a kind man! He didn't do a number on his "backhoe bucket...

    heating up

Donatello, welcome to the forum. The questioning of tractor model number and spelling of manufacturer could be because the forum is to help folks with questions/problems with their Kubota tractors. Not to just get an answer for your particular problem, but to make the information available...

L210 Rear Lights and Oil Light

jwage, I don't know if this will help, but looking at your pictures...that's an interesting layout. First thing I noticed is the round fuel tank. The only round fuel tanks I see are on the old propane propelled tractors of yesteryear! Then the tank is moved forward, as compared to today's...
