It was a short haying window with all of the rain this season but we finished up before the rain came. Almost 70 acers and just over 5000 bales. I know there is a green tractor in the photo but they can't all be orange. It was a nice break from my other job of commercial fishing!

What model of Kubota do you have? Kind of looks like a M7060 but not sure. Also, what model is the JD?

When I see a tractor doing work I like to look up what power and weight it has.

Thanks...

In that third picture is your brother baling the next windrow over for where you are cutting? Or was that a new starting point for the day, or does that tedder allow that fast of drying up there?:D

He is pulling a mower conditioner in that pic. With decent weather we usually bale on the third day sometimes sooner if weather is perfect. The ocean is less than a mile away which means we can get alot of evening dew and fog. The Tedders are very helpful, speeds things up by days if the weather is marginal.

Nothing wrong with having a green tractor like that. Those were real machines unlike what they produce now.
Don't feel bad, it's been a hard hay season everywhere. I just finished my first cut and didn't get to do everything because the ground was so wet. I've had to bale just about everything in 4wd this year. I would hate to know I had to get up square bales though. I've baled just over 900 rolls this year so far. I don't miss square baling at all.
