Need to mow but leave 8" standing

I wanted to do the same thing, leave more standing grass then usual. Here's what I did. Had a machine shop do most of the work because my tools wouldn't cut this steel! But put the round hole on the lift pin of the implement (then the lynch pin), both sides, and the same at the top where...

    B9200 bent pushrods

"B9200HST and all the pushrods bent". For ALL the pushrods to be bend seems unusual. But I'd say the first guess is hydro-locked. Massive amounts of water into the combustion chamber, usually caused by a head gasket giving up after engine overheats. So I guess you need to discover what...

    L210 Glow Plug Resistor

100 td, in your example above, if the last glow plug in the circuit was not functioning (burn out) would the glow plug circuit still function as normal, just not getting heat to one cyl, since it was the last one?

    B7100 hst Venting injection pump

Make sure you have good (fresh) diesel. Have your throttle lever full on. It needs to push fuel in to get air out. Loosen the nuts at the injectors (so the air can get out). Turn the engine over for 15-20 seconds, then wait for a bit so you don't overheat your starter. After several cycles...

    B6200 Tire Size Ratio

You didn't state if your tractor is 4 wheel or 2 wheel drive. Makes a difference on 4x4, not on 2x4.

    L3800 oil change

See Lugbolt's comments. Not all manuals have correct data in them. Do what is correct for your tractor, not what the manual says is correct....if you went through all the details and prove you're correct!!

    TSC post hole digger

Dave, what kind of post are you going to use, and what soil conditions do you have? If you're using anything but wood I would not bore holes, drive them in. If your plan is wood, might consider T post or pipe on the "back" side. Quicker, easier to get in place.

What to look for in buying used loader

I have a friend who is "studying" a CAD program. He's been doing this for at least two years. He keeps offering to download it onto my computer so I can have good drawing of what I make. He makes nothing! Just studies! I told him I already have a CAD program. So the other day he brought...

    Dealer prices too high?

I find Rockauto always competitive with what I find in local stores. Their a family owned business. In their recent newsletter had an article about a supplier who was telling them what they had to sell their goods for. Don't remember the name, but it was a major supplier. They quit...

What to look for in buying used loader

I bought a Massey loader to put on an L305 a couple of years ago. It had some junk iron with it that was called a mount for a Ford tractor. It was someone's idea, not factory. I made the entire mount to fit my tractor. It's a project, takes some time. If you enjoy that kind of fabrication...

    Grader Blade Modification

What are you going to use the 8' blade for? If you put too much blade behind your tractor, and then angle the blade, your tractor will not pull it straight (when loaded with material) forward but turn the tractor as you try to move forward. Go find a CL 7' and be happy!:D

What to look for in buying used loader

Mike, if you're installing it on your L1500, first thing be sure it fits! How wide is it? Will it allow room for the hood, but not so much. Where are the towers (arms coming up with the valve on one of them) located in relation to the mounting bolt/holes on your tractor? No way to check the...

    In Luck?

I guess the ideal path through here is St. Joseph, Mo. That's 100 miles North of me, so in the grand scheme of things... pretty close! I heard on the news motel rooms are full and prices are ridiculous.

    That little metal rod

    Dealer prices too high?

I agree, shipping is a factor in any purchase. Coleman is local to me (40 min.) and their prices are usually just a tad bit lower the two other dealers that are 22 miles East and West of me. Coleman also has a HUGE inventory, gets items from the warehouse quickly, and extremely knowledgeable...
